This is a fantastic book that I definitely recommend to every single coach. The principles that are discussed along with the DVD presentation helped open up my eyes to a whole new world of basketball that I only dreamed of. I own over a hundred basketball books, mostly X's and O's but this book is by far the best book that I have in my collection.

WHEN THE BEST COLLEGE COACH OF ALL TIME TELLS YOU HIS OFFENSE AND THEN SHOWS YOU IN DETAIL HOW TO USE IT - IT'S PRICELESS. WATCH THE DVD FIRST AND THEN READ THE BOOK.

At the intro chapters, book delivers history of basketball offense. Fantastic experience for every reader. Then, applying historical modification of rules - modification of offensive play tactics are modified too.

Very nice, concise and understandable logic, excellent video material makes this edition very valuable.

Excellent book, well organized, great instruction, and very useful for anyone coaching basketball. Very humble and articulate, knowledgeable authors.

This is the best basketball book & DVD I have ever had. THE COACH of UCLA is the best. The book and the video are very easy to use and describe with full detail the UCLA offense. YOU MUST HAVE THIS TOOL IN YOUR LIBRARY....

I am coaching 5th and 6th graders in a competitive league and intend on implementing his full offense this season. We are 2 weeks into it and the boys are picking it up very well. I am taking the offense a step at a time. This is absolutely a wonderful book to teach from and the DVD really helps with understanding. Wooden was one of the best coaches of all time and his insights are invaluable!

Anyone playing in a team or coaching basketball should take into account this book. John R. Wooden is a legend and he'll show tips and tricks for every situation on the game.

The first book I ever bought as a coach was Wooden's Practical Modern Basketball. I still have a copy. This book sits next to it on the shelf. In Practical Modern Basketball, Wooden covered just about everything you need to know as a basketball coach. In this book the focus is a detailed examination of the UCLA offense.

While the game has changed as have the rules, the most significant change being the introduction of the three point shot, this offense is still one of the best there is as it not only creates opportunities for scoring for each position, but has excellent rebound position built in.

I used to think that defensive rebounding was the key to winning games. Now I think turnovers forced and OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS are the key to winning games (along with making your lay-ups and free throws)! This makes built in offensive rebounding position even more important to me as a coach now.

Anything Wooden does will be done with excellence. This book is no exception.
