Meet Johnny Test - not to be confused with another kid with a similar name. He's just your average 11-year-old boy with a workaholic mom, overly strict dad, scientist sisters, and a talking dog.

Okay, that last part kinda makes him less than average, but Johnny is a real go-getter and always up for almost anything as long as it's up to his boyish interests from super powers to a turbo-charged scooter or backpack. No matter what crazy experiment his sisters Susan and Mary do to him, he along with his dog and canine confidante Dukey somehow get into trouble but then suddenly find a way out of it. That's how this crazy series works with 26 episodes from the first 2 seasons on 3 discs. (And P.S., you may want to note that the art and animation style is different when comparing the first and second seasons down to each and every episode.)

It's quite a collection, you know. Plus, there's big bonus features like DVD-ROM content, a sneak peek at the Johnny Test video game, and bonus episodes of other shows like "Super Duper Sumos", "Gadget Boy", and "Potatoes and Dragons". And make sure you follow the "flaming-headed boy" and his big adventures every day on Cartoon Network.

I was amazed that they decided to release two seasons in one set at the same price as one season. This is an incredible value. The only thing I despise is the fact that they gave us 4:3 ratio for season 2 when it is available in widescreen on other Johnny Test DVDs that are already out (Gametime, Johnny and Dukey, Johnny vs. Bling Bling Boy, Johnny X and Super Pooch). The only season that should be in standard 4:3 is season 1. I have no idea why this was done but with 16:9 TVs being the standard now, it seems to be a waste. Other than that, this is a great set to have if you enjoy the cartoon.

This is a great release, having 2 seasons for such a low price. However, the packaging is down right AWFUL! Is there a reason that the discs come in CD-Rom little packages instead of disc holders like a REAL DVD? And why are all the discs the same picture but just the disc number changed? It makes me feel like I purchased a bootleg. Other than that, the episodes are in nice quality and play fine.

Why is it that unwatchable garbage like AQUA TEEN HUNGER FORCE enjoyed a decent amount of cult popularity while this vastly superior show gets no love? While it's animation was admittedly not the greatest (a reality of most TV animation that we must face), JOHNNY TEST featured terrific scripts, great voice acting and was genuinely laugh-out-loud funny. There were also a ton of jokes that went right over the heads of the kids in the audience -- the gay leatherboy race of mole-people immediately springs to mind -- and a wildly anarchic sensibility that made this show a breath of fresh air among the seemingly endless wave of POKEMON and its numerous knockoff shows. If you missed it during its initial run, I highly recommend this set. I have not seen all of the third season and nothing at all from season four so I can't really comment on those other than to say that the animation quality deteriorates (which is not good since the animation was already quite limited), but the first two seasons are comedy gold.

This show is not only annoying but mean spirited. The characters are all bad role models and all of the jokes are either screaming or at some else expense. The main character is a brat and while many other shows have main characters that might be disrespectful or selfish some times most either their lesson at the end of an episode or have some redeeming quality. Johnny on the other hand gets away with every thing and learns nothing. The story is also an unoriginal rip-off of the two best cartoons on TV: Dexter's Lab and The Fairly OddParents and the animation is horrendous. Don't let your kids watch it.

It really is. It's just terrible, I can't find a single redeaming aspect about it. The voice acting is terrible, the character designs are ugly and so is the overall art style, the animation is horribly cheap, the writing is just plain bad. Why does Cartoon Netwrok keep showing it?

First off, who doesn't like cartoons? Second, who wouldn't like Johnny Test? I love cartoons and I love Johnny Test. Genuinely funny with such a wry sense of humor. Johnny and his talking dog Doogie (he talks thanks to his brainiac twin sisters experimenting on him and now he can talk) Johnny's parent (not meat loaf again) Johnny's sisters, jane and susan, I think? The twins next door crush (aaahhhh) Gil. The FBI agents Mr white and Mr. Black, so funny, too. The arch nemesis....bling-bling boy, Just a lot of fun and laughs. For all ages.
