This music captures the rhythms of skating and dancing, emotional ups and downs, a hectic multicultural millieu, both the cornstalks and the glitz, the classical and the rap, intimate chamber music and irresistable futuristic force-fields. Like the skater, the music flows and floats, seeks higher levels. Compiles and anticipates myriad sounds and moods.
Through it all, the music follows the theme of supportive friendship and performance dynamics. By truly listening to oneself and each other--and making the effort of comprehending and providing accompaniment--each can find the bronze, silver, and gold in everyday life, as well as on the largest stages.

The music reflects the score of Johnny Weir's special, "Pop Star on Ice". When I listen to the CD in my car I can visualize exact scenes from the show. Some of the music is often repetitive of the main theme and some of the songs are very short, but if you love watching Johnny Weir then this is a great addition for your ears.
