I've used lots of seasoning salts over the decades and have been on a steady upgrade path. Perhaps I stay with one for a few years until I get tired of it. Dunno. I've been using Johnny's for about 3 years now. It's still the one I reach for.

I haven't found it locally, so getting it at a good price with amazon prime's free shipping is quite cool. I'm currently waiting for my shipment and have been using some of my older selections from the back of the pantry. I still like Johnny's best.

Might as well toss in a recipe. Take a chunk of meat. Rub in some Johhny's and some lemon pepper. Toss it in a zip lock bag, seal it with as little air as possible inside. Toss in fridge between 4 hours and 2 days. Cook and eat. I sometimes pour oil (usually olive) into the baggie - just enough to lightly coat. Cooking can be just about anything from grilling to baking to frying although it's silly to prep meat this way for stew.

We lived in Tacoma way back in 1963 and became acquainted with Johnny's Dock restaurant - it became our favorite. As we moved around the country, we have ordered their seasoning salt and have shared the knowledge of it with our friends and family. Everyone has enjoyed it. Our children and their families also swear by the product. You can't go wrong with this product. Also, the company stands behind its product. I had a problem with a shaker on a bottle and they replaced the product and sent a few more for our 'trouble.'

I first tried this seasoning salt 8 years ago in California and I have been using it ever since. I threw out the other brands in my cabinet because this stuff is THAT good. I use it on all kinds of meats, popcorn, potatoes, etc. My family has tried it at my house and have since purchased their own. If you're looking for a great seasoning salt, you've found it!

My daughter's fiance introduced us to the Johnny's Seasoning Salt and we love it! The three huge jars probably won't last that long with our family. I've used it to make a beef and gravy dish and also on a pork roast that I made into pulled pork adding BBQ sauce too. Everyone said it was my best batch ever and the only difference was I had added the Johnny's Seasoning salt before and after cooking the roast!

We started using Johnny's Seasoning about two years ago up at our camp. We would use it on our meats and also fried potatos. It has become a favorite for our family. Our son in-law uses it on everything! You won't be disappointed!

You will not find a better all-purpose seasoning salt on the market. Johnny's adds the perfect amount of flavor to make any meat dish savory. I use it generously on baked chicken, turkey, ground beef for spaghetti, tacos, tostadas, lasagna, stroganoff, shepherd's pie... You name it, this stuff is the BOMB! That being said, I admit to cooking simply, mostly due to time. Here are the 6 items that fill the entirety of my spice cabinet:

1) Johnny's seasoning salt (absolutely delish on meats)
2) Trader Joe's 21 Seasoning Salute (excellent for soups and pork chops, especially beef/chicken caldo)
3) Himalayan pink salt (yummy with olive oil over veggies/potatoes/legumes)
4) Garlic powder (garlic powder + butter + finely grated parmesano + fresh ground pepper + popcorn = heaven)
5) Fresh-ground multi-color pepper (not as spicy as you might imagine, a perfect finish for salads, fish, veggies, and inside cold-cut sammies)
6) Sea-salt (used instead of table salt)

Unless you are one of those "add a pinch of oregano, some fresh lemon zest, and a 1/4t of star anise" type of cooks (of which I am not), you won't be disappointed. Johnny's seasoning salt is a great time-saver and an overall excellent value.
