Unit is designed to work only when you are sitting still. If you want to use it while you're walking around, find something else.

This thing works great. My wife is a mosquito magnet and highly allergic to their bites. In a crowd, the mosquitoes will flock around her. Then when bitten she itches for days and develops large red whelps. When she uses this machine, she has no fear of mosquitoes. They avoid her completely. And, here in Texas we have huge mosquitoes. If mosquitoes are a problem to you, buy this thing and get plenty refills.

This is item contains 2 refills and nothing else.

As others have pointed out, the picture and product description here are sorely lacking. And Amazon should offer a product with more than 2 refills.

I've only just started using this product, so I can't say much about how it works except to say that it doesn't work when you are moving. It is meant for use when you are more or less stationary - like sitting outdoors on your deck or whatever. At first I found this annoying, but then I saw their ads on TVs and that's how they market it, so it isn't meant to work while in motion.

I bought one of these clip-on fan things and pack of refills to take camping this summer. Not only does it not repel mosquitos, they actually land on thing! The only time mosquitos are repelled by this product is when they happen to fly through the draft from the fan, they get blown a little off course.

Don't waste your money on this, it is completely ineffective.

Throw away everything else you have EVER used to repell mosquitos. This thing works! I was EXTREMELY skeptical at first. I am dying if I am lying. When I go sit on the front porch, I am swarmed by mosquitos before I even sit down. Within one minute after turning on the Clip_On, the mosquitoes have all disappeared.

The unit works with a fan and a small liquid vial. Uses battery and not completely odorless.

Pros:
- works as it should - repel insects

Cons:
- expensive refills
- the size of this clip-on is ridiculous. Imagine this hanging on you while you move.
- very easy to forget about the fan power switch. Once you forget, the 12-hour refill is gone in just one use.
- Uses two double AAs. Power hog.

Will never buy again.

This totally works! Give it a minute or two to get the liquid going and it will repel mosquitoes from head to toe. I used it while trimming shrubs in a shady, dense part of my garden and I didn't get one single bite. You do have to use the refill within 2 weeks of opening, but that usually isn't a problem during mosquito season. I also use it clipped on to my baby's stroller when we go for walks and it protects the both of us. There's no wonder the refills are sold out in all the stores within a 50 mile radius of my house!

I've been using this product for a couple of years; when I moved I couldn't find it at any local stores, so I ordered it from Amazon.
Works fine and was shipped promptly.

I've used these for several years. There are a lot of these critters where I come from (Kansas ) and I usually I have a very magnetic attraction to the bugs. They dont like me when the thing is on but when I forget it and come out of the house into the backyard the buts want to relive old times.

In response to above normal rainfall this spring the mosquitoes were in abundance... Think airborne pirhanhas. With the Off! Clip On the mosquitoes seemed unable to find us once our personal protection zone was established. This product is designed to work when you are relatively stationary.
We received our order of extra refills quickly. Extremely satisfied.
