The reason for the three stars is to do with elements of repetitiveness, and a feeling that this is really for the specialist. If it were stars for the importance of these recordngs, that would be more like 9!

Thank heavens for the enthusiasts and collectors who have saved this glimpse into a faraway and mysterious world which, amazingly, is still more or less within living memory.
