The teapot came in perfect. I love it. It shows a set of dishes but you get the teapot..really nice

Now made in China
I have an extensive set of Johnson Bros. Friendly Village - all made in England. Recently my teapot slipped from my soapy hands and chipped in several places, so I bought this one to replace it. It's okay and matches the cups and saucers well enough, but I don't like it as well as my original teapot that had the words "Made in England" impressed on the bottom. It looks...

I have an extensive set of Johnson Bros. Friendly Village - all made in England. Recently my teapot slipped from my soapy hands and chipped in several places, so I bought this one to replace it. It's okay and matches the cups and saucers well enough, but I don't like it as well as my original teapot that had the words "Made in England" impressed on the bottom. It looks and feels a bit chunkier than the original. Although I am disappointed I will keep it and use it, but if this were to chip or break I probably would not replace it again.

I love the way this teapot looks good not only with the Friendly Village but with other brown transferware, too.While most of my collection is Friendly Village, I also have other place settings from Johnson Bros. and Churchill. All of it can be used with this teapot. I personally like the sturdy feel and find the colors and "artwork" to be just as nice as any Friendly Village place setting. |
