These are the stoneware dishes, and not the china set. These are very similar to the china set, but the details are slightly less defined in both the pictures on the dishes, and the shapes of the actual dishes as well. I didn't notice this in the description and didn't find this out until I received this. They match fairly well with the china set.

I puchased this for my Bride to complete a set of 8. The only problem is that the new setting is made in China instead of England. The English made place setting included the Bread and Butter plate instead of the larger salad plate that comes with this new Chinese set. Not a big problem. I just need to find 4 more bread and butter plate or the larger salad plate. Whatever my Wife wants.

The stonewear china is very nice and luckily it arrived safely. But Amazon needs to ship it in a smaller box. And no padding was used to protect it. I left a packaging review with Amazon. I hope that they start packaging their shipments better.

plate, saucer, bowl, and bread&butter dish was in good condition BUT the
cup was broken. so thats it.
