5.0 out of 5 stars Just looking at it makes me want to build something, December 13, 2009
This review is from: Johnson Level & Tool AccuLine Pro 40-6660 Multi-Beam Self-Leveling Laser Level (Tools & Home Improvement)
A real joy to use. It is the best layout tool I have ever used. It will layout angles on the ground as well as plumb and level. The first reviewer said "the only thing that is missing is that it should've been designed to project a dot in the ceiling that lines up with the one that the laser projects in the floor so it could've been used for plumb lay outs too", but it does do this by using both of the vertical lines that cross at the top. I've seen this item for sale for as much as $995 at Sears, and I would pay that much if I had to. It is well built and comes with a very protective case. I am expecting to get many years of good service from this fine tool.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's so good I own two!!!, February 17, 2009
This review is from: Johnson Level & Tool AccuLine Pro 40-6660 Multi-Beam Self-Leveling Laser Level (Tools & Home Improvement)
I own several lasers from several manufacturers (David White, Hilti, Acculine, etc), this laser flies above the rest due to its versatility and ease of use, one of the best features is the 360 degree fine tune adjuster, it makes so easy to line up the laser line with your plumb marks, the laser lines are so crisp and in a sunny day outside you can use the detector so it makes it great for either indoor or outdoor applications, I used to use rotary lasers, but they usually give a fuzzy line and sometimes you need a really crisp line for some applications, which is what you get with this laser, I've owned mine for more than a year and hands down it is the one that I use the most, the other ones are gonna go on craigslist pretty soon, the only thing that is missing is that it should've been designed to project a dot in the ceiling that lines up with the one that the laser projects in the floor so it could've been used for plumb lay outs too, but even without that feature it's still a 5 star laser, another great thing is that it comes with rechargeable batteries, some of the other ones don't and sometimes you realize you need batteries in the middle of the job and of course you have to drop everything and go get them.

this is an overall great laser, I just bought a second one cause in some applications you need several lines projected in different places and it's much easier to set a second laser than moving one laser back and forth.

This is one laser you won't regret buying mostly if you buy it like I did (ebay), I paid 220 for the first one and 162.99 for the second one shipping included, although I would pay the 700 they go for if I had to, good thing I got lucky, hope you find this review helpful...add a hilti adjustable tripod and a laser jamb and you are all set!!!
