Johnson-Rose wax paper,

The only wax paper I have ever used has been the type on a roll. These wax paper squares seem slightly thinner than the roll paper, but they are still sturdy and should do their job well. My complaint is that, unlike the photo above, the paper did not come in a marked box with a dispenser opening. It came wrapped in plain, white paper (like butcher's paper) so that will make it slightly more difficult to store and use. I'm going to try putting it in a plastic sandwich container just to make sure it stays clean, dry and organized.
As the description states, there are holes on two corners so that the paper can be used on a spindle. So I guess they expected that everyone would hang the entire bundle of paper from a spindle and a box wasn't necessary. Bummer.

Useful Item For Pressing Lots of Hamburgers,

I do not know much about different wax paper. But I found that these are a lot easier to work with then regular wax paper when you are using it to divide hamburger patties for freezing. A definite must if you are using a hamburger press I tried using an aluminum hamburger press without having the wax paper already on the press and could not get the hamburger off the press without ruining the patty.

After opening the box, my item, which should have been securely and safely wrapped, was open on 2 sides. Ironically, the sticker on the item says, "Maximum outer protection keeps out harmful contaminants." Really? How do you keep contaminants out of an opened package?
As far as my purpose goes for using the patty papers, they are intended to be an instrument in geometry exploration with middle schoolers. True to form, the patty papers did what I expected them to do, and the students enjoyed using them. Do I have the 1500 that I should have? I have no idea because the package looked like it was opened and used prior to arrival. I'm very disappointed with how this company shipped this item and will think twice before purchasing again. I will probably spend a little more money and make my next purchase from a reputable supplier. At least I'll know I'm getting exactly what I'm paying for. I'd NEVER use these as hamburger patty separators, seeing how they were contaminated during packaging and shipping.

I LOVE THIS STUFF!,

I don't know how I ever made patties without this!!! I used to use wax paper and cut them and go through so much of it, it is so nice to pull out a perfect size piece of paper without all of the fuss of cutting. I have a big family so I buy hamburger in bulk and freeze it. I patty out the burgers and seperate them with this paper and then when we are ready for them, you can take out as many as you like. Works great!

I wish the manufacturer would consider packaging these in a box instead of simply wrapping them in paper.
Also, as another reviewer mentioned these have small holes punched in the corners, presumably to put on a spindle. For household use why not save a production step and sell without the holes.

I would have rated it lower because of the butcher paper packaging, but they work so well. I mix and press about 5 lbs of burgers at a time. I place a sheet in the bottom of my cheap press, press the burger and it comes out with ease. I stack several high, vacume seal and freeze. The paper helps the frozen patties come apart easily and once slapped on the grill the paper comes off easily.
Back to the packaging. Bring a 1 quart zip lock bag along on this purchase. There is no box, and once a couple of sheets are pulled out, the whole stack starts falling apart. I fixed this issue by placing the stack in a zip lock and I pull the sheets out as I need them. Easy fix for a fustrating problem.

We buy in bulk and slice our own meats and cheeses. These papers are invaluable for putting between the slices and that is what we mostly use them for. There are two holes in the papers for attachment to a frame or to rings. A great buy at the price with multiple uses.

It's paper - not much else to saw,

Not much to say about this - it's paper that helps keep your burger patties separate. I did find that if I stack raw patties (or pork chops) with the paper between each and then froze them the paper tended to stick to the frozen meat. A quick hit of cooking spray on each side of the paper resolved that problem.

I bought these to go along with my Michael Serra book - excited to use them in the classroom. True to form, they do send you 1500 sheets of patty paper. However, despite what the picture shows, they don't actually come in a box. They're wrapped in paper and you have to half unwrap them to get some out. They also have two holes punched in them, though there's nothing mentioned about that in the product description.
Not the best set of patty paper for the classroom, but still usable.

When I received this item, I was very disappointed. For $15, I expected a little nicer packaging. It was wrapped in paper, which was all torn (someone had taped it back together, but not very well). The papers were exposed and not sealed - not very sanitary, if you are planning to use it for it's intended use. I would not repurchase!
