Johnsons cotton swabs have remained a favorite in our household for many years. I haven't found another cotton swab that even compares. The cotton on the ends of their Q-tips is soft, sturdy and cushy. These swabs are great for all kind of jobsfrom cleaning ears to cleaning the small crevices in a car. Just last evening, I cleaned the small indentations on my stove door using these swabs. I was happy to purchase these swabs through subscribe and save at a very good price.

anyone else bothered by that? i realize i use a lot of wasteful products (disposable toothbrushes comes to mind) and i thought that at least the swabs i use a few times a week were biodegradable. sure, cardboard sticks take awhile to biodegrade but plastic is hopeless! i don't care how "flexible" plastic sticks are or how weak poor quality cardboard sticks are, i don't like to be mislead. usually when sticks are plastic they are pink or lavender. these white sticks (which i did not buy at amazon, btw, but i can see that these are the very same product i purchase elsewhere) are false advertising. nowhere on the box does it say anything about the sticks; it just fools you with "100% cotton" and all that. maybe my eyesight is going but i really had to study these after i opened the box to believe what i was seeing. a quick look at the box with white sticks and i thought i was buying cardboard. back to Q-tip brand, or whoever still makes the good cotton swabs i'm used to -- well, in five years when i finally finish up this crappy box. in the meantime i can look forward to a pang of guilt everytime i toss one of these bits of plastic into the trash. oh how fun. just what i need, more guilt...
