5.0 out of 5 stars Good buy, September 22, 2003
I asked my partner to compare all the pregnancy books that I found in Kinokuniya bookstore. I am glad he choose this book, since it covers from pregnancy till 36 months. I did compare it with Dr Miriam Stoppard's books, and find this book is way much better for its illustration and explanation. It give step by step guidance through pregnancy that you want to know and even the basic knowledge such as breast feeding babies and changing nappies (with illustrations, of course!)

We have many pregnancy books that we've collected, and it seems like there is too many to read and go through. This book is very quick and simple to read through for the months of interest. The sections are brief and informative, and I like that it contains picture illustrations. good resource.

This review is from: Johnson's Mother and Baby (Paperback)
As a new parent I bought this book mostly because I feel like I can trust Johnson & Johnson. It's a great book for new parents, maybe as a baby shower gift. Very descriptive, a few too many color pictures of babies where more info could have been added...but very helpful. I would recommend this!

I am the father of a 8 month old son. My wife got this during her 1st month of pregnancy as a gift. This has been a very useful book since then. Very informative and precise to the point. Book describes each phase of preegnancy by month wise with answers as if it was collected from a survey. very easy to read with nice pictures. Not a book like novel full of words. Will make u read and believe me, it also makes father's read it because of its page layout and information in bullet points and question and answer things. My brother and his wife who are doctors would say the same thing the book says, and they too have told high about this after going thru the book. Hugely recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars I loved this book, April 11, 2010
I ended up with a LOT of pregnancy books. But I always wanted to read this one each week. It gave great descriptions, nice pictures and kept everything on a positive but still informative note. I passed it on to others in my family and I was actually sad to see it go.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Mother/Baby book on the market, October 16, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I am a grandmother of two with number 3 on its way !!!!
My oldest grandson is almost 3 and we are still using this book for him
My daughter lives out of state and we tend to both get our books out to look up information.
Just bought book number 4 for my niece who is pregnant and she loves following along with her pregnancy and the book is full of helpful information for pregnant women.
As far as the 4 of us women who use this book as a family we are all very pleased with it and think its the best on the market.
A young Grandma

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Book!!!!!, February 25, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is the only book I used throughout my entire pregnancy. It has great information and illustrations. I am now the mother of a 1 month old and I still use the book. I highly recommend this book to those mothers who crave knowledge like I do. This book answered a lot of my questions from the first trimester to delivery and to caring for my baby when I bought him home. This is a must have for mothers-to-be!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A STUDENT OF THIS SUBJECT, May 6, 2003
Look at the subject then read on. I took courses about this subject while in high school. I'm currently 21 years old, born with a speech/learning disabitly. I watch TLC's A Baby Story, Maternity Ward, a special that was on 1/2002 and going to be on again (a new episode) its called World Birth Day. I read online journals that are written real mother (sometimes fathers as well). One author wrote about her pregnancy was one MSN' Women Central, then her baby's first year (which a book now, its called It Could Happen to You!). She writing on her own website now. The another as written on her own website since Fall, 2001. I reallly them. I read 2 other books about this subject which are by Dr. Miriam Stoppard. I found this book better Dr. Miriam Stoppard books because I like there were other people who wrote book besides the author. Oh, I love DK Parenting Collection then What You are Expecting, and other books with out pictures that aren't of women models or real women that pregnant or anything else. Thank you.
