I got hooked on this writer after reading the first book in this series. David Meadows is one of the best writers in this genre out today! You owe it to yourself to discover his many talents as a BEST-SELLING author! You won't regret it!

1.0 out of 5 stars Did not like this book
I have read hundreds of action paperbacks and this is the first one I ever wrote a review on. This paperback was one of the worst I ever read. The story does not fit together very well and its full of information that has little to do with the plot. I read it cover to cover and I was hoping for a big explosive ending. I, personally didn't think it was possible for Capt. Meadows to make his stories more exciting then they already were...I WAS WRONG! Joint Task Force America, the second in this series is even better than the first book! OUTSTANDING!!!

Meadows has again written an outstanding novel about modern warfare. The characters are well developed and keep the reader wanting to read more. David E. Meadows is the expert when it comes to writing about the military of the twenty first century. He writes with authority and a style that keeps me wanting more. Keep up the great writing David. I look forward to the next enstallment.

5.0 out of 5 stars CAPTAIN MEADOWS DOES IT AGAIN! INCOMPARABLE MILITARY THRILLER!, January 26, 2006
I became a fan of this author when I read the fourth book in this series. It was intriguing, exciting ... a book I could not put down. (It helped that there were so many fine, young military men in the book too. I adore men in uniform.)

So, of course, I had to go back and read the other three in this fantastic military thriller, starting with JTF:Liberia. Now I've read them all and each was as good as the previous.

Retired Captain David E. Meadows is a fantastic author who really knows his subject. Realistic, well fleshed-out characters and dialogue, plus an exciting plot--what more could a reader want?

Now, for me, it's back to read his first series: THE SIXTH FLEET. Anyone care to join me? You will have the "reads" of your life. I kid you not!

5.0 out of 5 stars Mr. Meadows is a great storyteller,, July 16, 2004
I say that with all due respect! I have become such a fan of this writer after reading his first navy thriller series. This (his new series) is just as exciing if not more so and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next in this series...come on September!

I have read hundreds of action paperbacks and this is the first one I ever wrote a review on. This paperback was one of the worst I ever read. The story does not fit together very well and its full of information that has little to do with the plot. I read it cover to cover and I was hoping for a big explosive ending. The only good part about the ending was that the story ended and I could go on to something much better than this. Sorry David, I don't think I will be investing in any other paperbacks. I cannot imagine anyone rating this five star.
