Interesting plot and really aggravating prose,

This could have been a great novel. It had an interesting plot. The author obviously understands and really, really wants to elaborate on military technicalities. But he needs to learn to concentrate on the story more and not let himself get bogged down with sometimes unnecessary military explanations and political stump speeches. Also, he doesn't give the reader enough credit -- for exemple, he constantly reintroduces the characters, giving their full titles and repeating their viewpoint. Maybe he just had a lousy editor. This is one of those books that when you finish -- you are kind of glad it is over.

This was my first David E. Meadows book. I enjoyed the story, characters and the thrilling ending. If you enjoy Tom Clancy, Michael DiMercurio, Larry Bond and Patrick Robinson as I do you will enjoy this book. I am looking forward to reading the next.

WAY WAY to much wasted verbiage. Author needs to talk to some one who knows real air traffic and pilot speech. and get over calling people already introduced by their full tittle.
