"...Joints and Glands Exercises could be the easy [way to] increase your health and give you a pleasant natural surge of energy." -- Alternatives Magazine

"Joints and Glands Exercises could be the easy [way] to increase you health and give you a pleasant natural surge of energy." -- Alternatives Magazine

"Swami Rama has deep insight into the Infinite. His personal attainment is visible in every stanza. This exposition with Japji Sahib as its basis will shed light for all times to come. It will impart solace. It will impart love." -- Justice Pritam Singh Safeer

"Swami Rama is not only gifted with a metric expression that I evidenced in each and every word of this masterly rendering, but also has a mantric vision to support his expression." -- Dr. I. Panduranga Rao, Director, Bharatiya Bhasha Parishad

"Swami Rama's translation of Japji not only rhymes well but also retains the essence of the original. An inspired soul, Swami Rama has made a successful attempt to project to the world Guru Nanak's essentially spiritual and elevating message, which I am sure will help in promoting universal brotherhood and removing barriers created in the name of religion." -- Dr. Mohinder singh, Director, Guru Nanak Institute for Comparative Study of Religion, New Delhi, India

"Throughout the lengthy span of Indian civilization, saints and sages have declared the divine nature of human spirit, and have fathomed the Reality within. The Sikh gurus are representatives of this universal tradition. Through their meditation practice they came to realize the Truth and to manifest it in their time. The methods of meditation practiced by the great sages form a complete science of self-transformation and self-discovery." (Swami Rama)

5.0 out of 5 stars Feel Good in Your Body, May 2, 2000
This review is from: Joints and Glands Exercises (Spiral-bound)
This is an excellent stretching guide. The whole body is stretched, even your eyes! At the end of this series of strethces your whole body feels different and your mind is more at peace. Each simple stretch is done with coordinating breaths, which helps to relieve mental tension as well as physical tension. It takes a few sessions to learn the stretches, but once you remember them you just glance at the book and it only takes about 20 minutes for the whole series. I do these at least every Friday to help me relax for a more enjoyable weekend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Joints and Glands Exercises, November 24, 2009
This review is from: Joints and Glands Exercises (Spiral-bound)
Here is the basic illustrated guide of `warm-ups' for the body and mind with simple descriptions. These deceptively easy-looking stretches leave no part of the body or mind unattended. It is a book of stretches, massages, squints, rolls, rotations, swings, bends, twists, squats and balances. Very appropriate for the beginner, one can work over time with continued practice to improve the routine. The resulting flexible body and clearer-thinking mind is the first prize one receives. One can continue and `graduate' to `asana' or Yoga postures, and if desired, learn the complete science of Yoga Philosophy and Meditation and be a life-time practitioner of this Spiritual system.

Whether one goes to the higher levels of the Discipline or not, this is an excellent book for couch potatoes, weekend warriors, and active individuals. The exercises re-coordinate the body and mind, and improve posture, general health and well-being. Devoted disciples of His Holiness Swami Rama find this book to be one of the many blessings He has granted.
