This review is from: Joints of Pain : Living my Life with Rheumatoid Arthritis (Paperback)
I didn't know anyone with Rheumatoid Arthritis before hearing about this book. I didn't even know how to spell it! But I know the author (haven't talked to her in at least 10 years), and after discovering this book, it opened up a new understanding of living with this disease. I was totally ignorant of it. The author's tone is very conversational (almost a transcript of talking over dinner or in a warm living room), and she draws you into her experiences, pain, and ability to survive and thrive.
The experience of living with constant pain is an unknown for most of us, and Laura's writing opened my eyes not only to her difficult and exhausting world, but also to her quiet courage and resolve.
