Fizz Keeper,

Finally they changed the design and made it better. The round ball is easier to squeeze and takes less effort. The design colors are a lot cooler and they seem to stand up better than the old design ones.

Keep the pop in the pop !!,

These Jokari Fizz-Keepers do exactly what they say - keep the fizz/carbonation in the bottle, even after several openings. Flip the top, pour what you want, close top, and pump it up. It's all ready for next serving. Great value to be able to use all of a 2 liter bottle without going flat before getting to the bottom. Eventually pump bulb will get a leak and no longer work, but that is why we got a 3 pack.

Two out of three were bad,

Out of the three Fizz-Keepers in the package, one worked well and continues to do so. I can close it on a 2-liter bottle of soda and pump it up, then a day or two (or more) later open it up & can hear the sound of the pressure escaping, and I still have fizz in the soda. The lower the level of soda in the bottle, the lower the amount of fizz, but that would be expected & I still get enough fizz when the bottle is near empty. One of the three started off okay, though didn't keep the fizz as well as the first one. A few months later, though, it seems to leak & doesn't keep the pressure - I pump it up & then open it again - no sound, no pressure, little fizz. The third one never worked at all. I pump it up and can hear the air escaping after each pump.
If all of them worked the same as the first one, I'd rate them 5 stars - that one continues to work well. But with only one of the three working well, there's something wrong....

Broke and defective,

One of the units broke when attempting to remove it from the bottle. Another unit was defective and would not pump properly. Only one unit worked and it seemed to work as it was designed. It was to late to return it so I paid 10.50 for only one working unit - won't buy again!

These things are a life saver for someone who likes to save money by getting a 2-Liter of their favorite sodas for $1, but (like me) dislikes the taste of flat soda. Initially, all three worked perfectly, and then the seal on one started losing pressure after a couple of months. Then when removing the second one from a bottle, the weak hinges just snapped right off the base of the pump and broke. Granted, I do fasten them on rather tight because there has to be a COMPLETE seal for it to work. I haven't bothered to super glue them back together to see if that could possibly remedy the issue, I doubt it though. The third one is still working like a charm though, and this is after about 4 or 5 months. Granted, I live in an apartment with three other guys, so they may have seen some abuse outside of my hands, and they certainly got a work-out, each one would be opened typically 2 times a day.
They have a certain 'bling' appeal to, in that it makes people ask questions, "What a novel idea" they say. Bottom line is that they are going to fail (like your computer's hard drive) over time, it's a fact. The only thing you have to consider is whether or not they saved you enough money by keeping the otherwise discarded soda fizzy. In my case, it more than made up for the cost. I have come back today for another order of these, and knowing their flaws will try to take better care of them this time. Side Note: These seem to work better on some sodas than others. MUG root beer is perfect, but CocaCola/Coke has a rather loose seal in comparison, so you have to really jam it on. Canada Dry ginger ale is perfect, as is Cherry 7UP. Just depends on the threading the manufacturers used on their lid seals, guess and test my friends, enjoy!

New Style Jokari Friz Keepers don't work,

I used the old type Friz Keepers for several years before they wore out. After reading a review of the new style (round ball type) stating how much better the new design was, I bought six of them. They don't work at all. They will not pump up or keep any fizz but go flat quickly. What a waste of money! I noticed several web sites that are still selling the old type, so will purchase some of them.

It's so much cheaper to buy the big bottles of club soda and such, so we thought we'd give these stoppers a whirl. They are definitely better than squeezing the bottle and resealing it. In fact, for the first day or two while there is still quite a bit of liquid in the bottle, they work great! As the liquid diminishes, though, their ability to pump enough air into the bottle also diminishes. Overall, they absolutely do help you use more of the contents of the bottle. I'd buy them again, even knowing that they do have their limitations. The company sent them quickly, they were well-packaged, reasonably priced, and I'd buy from them again.

Takes skill to not break them,

I got 3 of these for xmas last year. They do work, keeping the bottle fizzy, although at the bottom of a 2L bottle, it's going to be pretty flat no matter what. Best to try to use the last 1/4 of the bottle at once. The problem like everyone says is that the construction is really bad, but I can give you tips: -order more than one -If one goes bad, keep it. If a second breaks, you may be able to use the top or bottom from the other broken one to make one working fizz keeper -I've have one dead on arrival because the latch fit too loosely, and it would just leak -I've had one die from the thin latch (not visible while it's closed) breaks off while opening. The third is going to go this way soon. -So, to keep it from breaking, when opening, don't pull straight up. Try to pull the latch down and away from the cap before lifting. Kind of like taking a clothes hanger off the bar, but upside down. -Also, you MUST clip off the plastic ring from the bottle (that detached from the original cap). You can't screw the Fizz Keeper on all the way until you remove that, and that means it leaks. If they even had these instructions in their product I might have given it a higher rating, but they really should be better constructed than this.

Mine Was Worthless!,

Bought this same brand at a grocery store for $2.99 for one. The first few pumps I could hear an air leak so I screwed it on a little tighter. I pumped it a few times not to over pump like the directions said. After 3 days my soda lost enough fizz that I dumped in down the drain. I only drank about 2 oz out of the 8oz bottle before putting it on. Keep your original cap on the bottle and don't waste your money on this.
