Customer Reviews

So all and all you would be better off just measuring your serving.
Joshua
Try to squeeze the bottle to get the dressing to the top, but with the cap on there is no pressure to do it.
Mahal
You also must have the plastic dressing bottles or you can not use it.

I was very disappointed in this neat design. I am a diaetic and portion control is very important. The tube to connect the top with the bottom did not work and could not be inserted to stay. Thus making the contraption inoperable. Unfortunately, I also gave one of these to a friend as a gift and the same thing occurred. It also was inoperable. My disappointment was immeasurable and the gift was of concern. When contacting the company about returning them, I had to pay the postasge for a defective product. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed and would not recommend this at all to anyone.

I was hoping I'd really like this product since I'm on Weight Watchers and like 2 Tablespoons of Ranch dressing, but once you get the dressing in the top you can't pour it out or squeeze it out....I'd rather squeeze the dressing into a measuring spoon.

I read the reviews and criticisms of this product, but it seemed like such a great idea that I went ahead and purchased two (2) anyway. Well, when I went to use them, they both leaked liquid at the connection between the device and the plastic bottle (supplied by me). I even went to the trouble of finding "O" rings that would fit inside the opening of each device at the level where the top of the plastic bottle's opening and the device meet, hoping that this would make the connection more snug, but to no avail.

Also, when squeezing the bottle to transport dressing from the self-supplied plastic bottle into the "serving chamber", if there is ANY liquid remaining in the serving chamber (i.e., remnants from a previously served portion), then that liquid leaks out of the top of the device, even if the lid is snugly in place.

I think that the product needs a little more tweaking before it is actually market-ready. My suggestion would be to supply some sort of gasket for the consumer to place around the top of the self-supplied plastic bottle so that contact is maintained when squeezing the bottle to transport liquid from the bottle into the serving chamber.

It is a shame that in their haste to place the product on the sale, they overlooked such a basic, yet obvious, weakness.

I would not recommend purchasing this product until they have solved the above-described problem and modified their description of the product to reflect that they have done so.

This product was a good idea, but an epic fail in execution. When trying to full the cup, the top blew off more than once spraying dressing everywhere. When pouring the dressing, it dribbled down the side every time. Do yourself a favor and get a shot glass to measure your dressing instead.

This is not a good product. I initially thought it was a good and novel idea. I bought two...they broke almost immediately. They are hard to clean, clumsy, and in case it matters, look stupid. It makes your salad dressing hard to store since it adds about two inches to the height of the bottle. Obviously, I was pretty disappointed since I bought them with good intentions in mind. Save your money and measure the old fashioned way....with a spoon.

Sabotage your emotionally-fragile friends' diet plans with this handy gadget from Jokari. Made of high quality plastic, everything about the packaging implies this product should work. Your friend will give a genuine smile as she unwraps the gift. Surely, THIS will help her walk the fine line between Ranch Soup and eating a raw forest. You can cackle all the way home from the birthday party knowing that by Attempt Two she will have given up and returned to the safe harbor of a dozen fried Oreos.
Exactly how will this occur? The Jokari Healthy Steps Portion Control Dressing Lid helps you sabotage your friends in several distinct ways:

1. The lid isn't guaranteed to catch on the threading of any salad dressing bottle. Unless you're buying the most common, generic slop sold in a bottle, you have no reason to believe it will fit on the neck of your dressing. They've been phasing that bottle style out for years now. Remember how many bottles used to look like the Wishbone bottle? Not so much today. Depending on your friend's resolve, they may stop here. If they manage to jam the soft plastic threading into this lid, they may proceed to the next step: The rise of dressing to reservoir

2. The Rise of Dressing to Reservoir
I'm not sure what the idealist designer of this product had in mind. Are you expected to squeeze the bottle and one ounce shoots up into the lid reservoir? There's one huge problem with this idea: If the top lid, that green part over the reservoir, actually sealed over the reservoir correctly, it would create a vacuum that would prevent any liquid from squeezing into the top. The product is made to be airtight, so I then have to assume you should be able to turn it upside down to fill the reservoir.

It is very hard to use! It is very hard to clean! Maybe it would work with the thinner dressings but the creamy ones...forget it!

Leaks, drips and salad dressings are usually oily,so yuck for the mess.Straw inside does not stay in lid. When you pore dressing into cup, dressing leaks through air hole. I bought 2 of these and would not give them to my worst enemy. I'll keep measuring my dressing with a tablespoon.
