This review is from: Jonah Sees Ghosts (Paperback)
This was a very well written story with believable and imperfect characters. It is the story of Jonah who's alcoholic father died on his sixth birthday. Jonah is now fifteen and started to see ghost everywhere. Neither him nor his mother have dealt emotionally with the loss of the father. Jonah is antisocial and strange but only retreats more into himself the stranger his life becomes around him, until he finds himself escaping through his dreams. This story is funny and touching, it is written in a very unique style. It is highly recommended. |
