Product Description

These Precision Wire Strippers feature an adjustment dial that allows the operator to select one of six different settings. A calibrated wire stop can then be adjusted for the desired insulation strip length. In a single motion, the operator squeezes and pulls the tool. This action engages four specially hardened blades to cleanly cut the wire insulation while the pulling motion breaks the insulation / conductor bond.

This is the best stripper I have used for light gauge wire. No nicks, and the wire stop makes it easy to get consistent strip length.

No issues stripping 30 AWG FEP insulated stranded wire.

I bought both this and a set of B000B5Y9YM to strip my 30 AWG wires. I receive this product first and was able to set a length I like for the manufacturing process I use. Quality is my goal and this allows me to be consistent with all of my stripped lengths. To give you an idea how convenient this is to use, I haven't even used the second type of wire strippers I ordered. I just placed an order for the 18-28 version just so I can have set lengths on my two step process.

When I first saw this I liked the design where it would cut the insulation easier and had a length stop built into it, not to mention it is compact and could get into tighter spaces than other 'plier' type strippers. When I got it I tried it on some wire and found it cut well enough, but I had to really grip the wire to pull it off the tool. Other than that when you set the wire size it didn't nick the strands and cut away the insulation cleanly. Its all plastic construction, which makes it light, but I wouldn't be dropping it or dumping other tools on it a lot. All in all Im happy with the purchase, it came on time, and works as advertised.

I have used these stripping tools for years, they work for teflon jacket wire although the blades need to be set for the next gauge down from the wire you are using. I use the 24 gauge setting when working with 22 gauge wire, if you don't it's a bit frustrating as the wire requires several tries to get a complete strip. Then tool usually last one year of heavy use. these are plastic, so they are a little fragile too. If you work all day long as I do you appreciate thew light weight and can accept the plastic construction as a fatigue reducer.

Defective/Does not work properly- Broke first try.
wont strip insulation from wire. It grabs the insulation but doesn't cut it. when you pull it after gripping it the top plastic end broke. now the top end just pulls out of handle and wire wont strip. The only good thing is its easy to get a Return Authorization...now lets see how long it takes to get a refund.

I do not recommend buying this product.

Precision stripper - easy to set the gauge, center slide to set the length. Works well with everything from PVC to Teflon and Kynar insulations. It is a tool I don't loan out - the blades are not replaceable and if it is set "small" and used on a "large" or non-copper wire the blades could easily be damaged.

I have used these before and they are simply the best wire stripper on the planet for small wires. Easily adjust the wire gauge on the front by turning a detented wheel, and use the black slider in the center to adjust the strip length. Insert the wire, squeeze the handle, and pull the wire out with no nicks...

Nice little toy but can't use for teflon jacket wire.
I used to strip 32 AWG teflon wire. It is in my junk box.
