I highly recommend this dvd. The performances are amazing, there are some exceptions like Rollins Band presentation which could have been replaced for Flaming Lips or Charlatans or Suede (I miss these bands in the two Jools Holland compilations).The highlights are Screaming Tress performing the perfect All I Know (is a pleasure to hear the voice of Mark Lanegan), Sonic Youth playing Sugar Cane, QOTSA with No One Knows, Dick Dale, The White Stripes and the weird but great Perry Farrel and company (Porno For Pyros) featuring the magnificent Orgasm, including a Chinese dancer. In summary, a great compilation, perfect for a saturday night with your friends. |
