5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible, June 2, 1999
By
This review is from: Joose (Audio CD)
In a simplistic time for music, this album displays a much more advanced and complicated side of R&B/Soul. Rocky McKaufman is one of the most intelligent and talented vocalists of today, and is also a great writer. Being a debut, this album has it's faults, but there aren't many. Every member of Joose seems to have a brilliant and classy side...and they make for an incredible group.

If you like Boyz II Men, Az Yet, Take 6, Brian McKnight, or any other brilliant R&B/Soul than you will love Joose. In my opinion, 9 of 12 songs on this debut are great.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Debut Album of 1997, January 5, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Joose (Audio CD)
With a host of unheralded producers (Queen Latifah being the exception), this Oklahoma City Quartet gives a dazzling debut album that has no equal (Az Yet comes close). Multi-talented, this group wrote, co-wrote and co-produced all but one of the songs on the album. They offer a soulful rendition of Garth Brooks' "If Tommorow Never Comes" that easily surpasses the heartfelt emotion of any other rendition you'll ever hear. Their 23rd St remix at the end provides an entirely different feel to the same song. Having dedicated their rookie effort to the bomb victims in Oklahoma City, "The Rain" asks some poignant questions. Their harmonies are lush and evocative. Close your eyes and let these gentlemen to take you on a tour of where love lives.

What can I say? I have been looking for your song for the last three years " If Tommorow Never Comes". You were born to sing it.
