My daughter is petite (around 16 lbs), and at 8 months she fits awesome in the stroller. It rolls very smoothly, has a great basket underneath and folds up pretty decently (but we luckily have enough room that I don't have to utilize this too much). The parent tray is sturdy, the canopy is great and it's relatively easy to recline the seat when she falls asleep (honestly, the City Mini is much better, but this works well also).
Assembly wasn't hard, except it did require a LOT of elbow grease to screw in the leg rest. The pre-drilled holes didn't seem to really fit the screws, but we were will able to get the leg rest on just fine and feel that it is secure. When putting the front wheel on, I would suggest pushing it outside for a little because I initially had it off centered and with a minor adjustment of moving the wheel more center it has been perfect.
The only thing I would suggest to Joovy is a small improvement on the rain cover. It has excellent coverage, but on the very front, there is no velcro to keep it closed.Read more ›
Here's what I like about it:
Great Sun Shade: it actually works almost all the way until sundown for shading baby's eyes.
Seat: pretty comfortable for baby (she basically always falls asleep) and the seat is easy to recline/sit up. It's not very supportive, but I started using it when my baby was 5 months and I just cinched the straps down pretty tight. I like that it's big enough to hold Baby until she's much older, although I doubt I will actually use it when she reaches the 50 lb weight limit.
Folding Mechanism: Easy to fold/unfold and it gets about as flat as I would expect of a huge bulky stroller.
On to the important part, the actual running. I am a fitness runner and have gone out with the stroller 2-3 times a week for the last 4 months or so. I have yet to take it longer than 3 miles (still working back up to it!). The stroller works well on all types of terrain: dirt paths, sidewalks, roads, even ok on grass, and it's not too difficult to steer (it is a fixed wheel, so you have to push down on the handle a little to raise the front to steer). My main issue is that I can't get the front wheel to stay true. I have "adjusted" it several times, and each time, it goes right back to its old position within the first mile. After that, I basically have to straighten it out every 3 seconds or so or we'll go off the sidewalk. This makes for a very tiring run! Hopefully I'll find some better, permanent way to adjust the front wheel. If I do, this stroller will be perfect.
Another important note, The Joovy Zoom ATS was the best reviewed jogging stroller, next to the BOB, but it was about 50% less!
