Product Description

Product Description

The ZoomATS is the best featured jogging stroller on the market today. When unfolded, it is the largest jogger available (supports a child up to 75 pounds), it has the highest push handle, a bigger and higher seat for better comfort and viewing. It has a one hand recline system with unlimited recline positions, and a huge sun canopy for great sun protection. It also folds into one of the most compact folding joggers. As with all Joovy strollers/joggers, the ZoomATS has a five point harness and a reflective package making it highly visible from all sides at night. Now, let's talk performance. The ZoomATS, which stands for Aluminum Tubing Suspension (ATS) is a lightweight aluminum frame fixed wheel jogging stroller. All three alloy rims (with 16" pneumatic tires) have quick releases; the rear wheels have a one step parking brake and the front wheel has a hand brake. If you are a serious runner and demand the stability of a fixed wheel jogger, the ZoomATS is for you. Each rear wheel operates independently with a spring/air suspension for a very smooth ride. With no rear axle it allows for maximum stride length. The frame is made from 6061 aircraft aluminum and the aluminum footrest (not plastic) enhances frame strength. These are features usually found on strollers costing several hundred dollars more. Combine the higher handle and neoprene parent organizer and you get absolute comfort. Also, enjoy the giant storage basket with easy accessibility. Don't forget the rain/wind cover and safety running leash that is included. Now you have all the reasons to go out there and get your workout in.

I am very pleased with this stroller and happy with my purchase! The quality is excellent and is exactly what I was looking for in a jogging stroller. After my daughter was born, my friend asked me to join her in a half marathon in November 2011. Being someone who exercised, but was more of a gym rat that despised running (especially outdoors), I agreed because I wanted a fitness goal. I did a decent amount research and many recommended getting the Bob Revolution, but I didn't really want to spend $400+ on a jogging stroller. Then I came across the Joovy and decided on the fixed wheel option because we have a City Mini we use for everyday stuff.

My daughter is petite (around 16 lbs), and at 8 months she fits awesome in the stroller. It rolls very smoothly, has a great basket underneath and folds up pretty decently (but we luckily have enough room that I don't have to utilize this too much). The parent tray is sturdy, the canopy is great and it's relatively easy to recline the seat when she falls asleep (honestly, the City Mini is much better, but this works well also).

Assembly wasn't hard, except it did require a LOT of elbow grease to screw in the leg rest. The pre-drilled holes didn't seem to really fit the screws, but we were will able to get the leg rest on just fine and feel that it is secure. When putting the front wheel on, I would suggest pushing it outside for a little because I initially had it off centered and with a minor adjustment of moving the wheel more center it has been perfect.

The only thing I would suggest to Joovy is a small improvement on the rain cover. It has excellent coverage, but on the very front, there is no velcro to keep it closed.

I did a ton of research before purchasing my jogging stroller and determined this Joovy to be the best.
Here's what I like about it:
Great Sun Shade: it actually works almost all the way until sundown for shading baby's eyes.
Seat: pretty comfortable for baby (she basically always falls asleep) and the seat is easy to recline/sit up. It's not very supportive, but I started using it when my baby was 5 months and I just cinched the straps down pretty tight. I like that it's big enough to hold Baby until she's much older, although I doubt I will actually use it when she reaches the 50 lb weight limit.
Folding Mechanism: Easy to fold/unfold and it gets about as flat as I would expect of a huge bulky stroller.

On to the important part, the actual running. I am a fitness runner and have gone out with the stroller 2-3 times a week for the last 4 months or so. I have yet to take it longer than 3 miles (still working back up to it!). The stroller works well on all types of terrain: dirt paths, sidewalks, roads, even ok on grass, and it's not too difficult to steer (it is a fixed wheel, so you have to push down on the handle a little to raise the front to steer). My main issue is that I can't get the front wheel to stay true. I have "adjusted" it several times, and each time, it goes right back to its old position within the first mile. After that, I basically have to straighten it out every 3 seconds or so or we'll go off the sidewalk. This makes for a very tiring run! Hopefully I'll find some better, permanent way to adjust the front wheel. If I do, this stroller will be perfect.

Another important note, The Joovy Zoom ATS was the best reviewed jogging stroller, next to the BOB, but it was about 50% less!

This is the perfect running stroller. It has very nice features--handlebar organizer, big lower basket, seat pockets, generous sun hood, and reclining seat. It also folds down super easy. The stroller has good shocks and you can go over pretty big bumps and still have a smooth ride. I use it several times a week and have used it in small local races. Because it has a fixed wheel you'll need to push down on the handle bar a bit to turn. It takes a few times to get used to this, but it makes for a better running stroller. If you are looking to have just one stroller for your child you might like one with a swivel wheel better, although with my first child I just had a fixed wheel running stroller and it was fine. I have the red color and it looks sharp!
