4.0 out of 5 stars Precurser to slam dunk and three point contest features in future titles such as NBA Live, November 19, 2006

This review is from: Jordan Vs. Bird: One on One (Video Game)
This game is an instant classic on the NES. Although it is not perfect, it was way ahead of its time. Not suprisingly it was made by EA back in 1989. This game is the precurser to NBA Live's slam dunk and three point contest feature in future releases. Although this game has its limitations, it is really fun to play by NES standards. Not only do you have a choice to play as the Birdman and his airness, but you get a lot of signature dunks in the slam dunk contest such as Dr. J's jam and MJ Air Jordan dunk. As I mentioned this game is not completely perfect. The controls take a little time to get used to and the game although it offers a lot of dunks, it falls short in game modes. Again like Tecmo NBA Basketball for NES, this game was way ahead of its time and I highly recommend this game to any NES game collector, any NBA basketball junkie, or anybody looking for a fun old school NES basketball game.
