You've heard this before, but I started reading and I couldn't put it down until I read the last word! There was truly an amazing, unique bond between this writer and his "boy". Thanks, John for sharing this story.

I happened to have the wonderful pleasure of having attended John's first book signing on Saturday at the Dewey Animal Shelter in Las Vegas, Nevada. I started reading it upon returning home and couldn't put it down. I finished it in two days. This book was written with such heart-felt emotion from John to Jordan. You can't help but to be emotionally moved by John and Jordan's adventures. If you can take away just one thing from reading this book, it would be compassion for one of life's beautiful creatures, your best friend - a dog. I thank John for sharing his memories.

I just got through reading John's book about Jordan and himself. Everyone seems to put Jordan first, but, it was an equal partnership. For those of us living in Las Vegas, Jordan was a very close part of our lives. With Jordan at his side, he directed John to help us all to learn about truly appreciating that unique bond between them. I thought I knew about them, but I learned so much more, and also about myself, and the bond I have with my dogs. Jordan was a celebrity, and never really knew it. He touches all who come in contact with him. The book is a touching journey into their special relationship. True, we know how the end will come, but it is not to be missed, for it has a wonderful message to share with all of us.
Jordan's spirit is within us all. Thanks for sharing...John.

After watching John & Jordan on TV for many years, we felt John's pain at his loss. We missed the "team", and were overjoyed when John found LJ. The book was well written & provided us with an up-close and personal look at the relationship between the man & his dog. John would never have been able to do that on television.

I bought John Fredericks' book "Jordan's Paws Across America" a week ago. I finished it in two days. Couldn't hardly put it down. Better than "Marley and Me" (movie was good but book was slow). Mr. Fredericks is truly an advocate for pets and a firm believer of "Adopt, don't Shop".
This book is a love story of a different kind. It was wonderful. Everyone that is a pet lover should buy it and read it. Give it as a gift. I did.

I loved this book. It really gave an insight into John and Jordans life away from the channel 3 newsroom. I had the pleasure of meeting Jordan once and he was one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met. Now after reading the book, I realize how right on I was.
The book is a nice and easy read. I found myself both giggling and crying upon occasion as it reminded me of times with the pups that I have had that have crossed over the bridge and are waiting for me as Jordan is waiting for John.
For potential readers outside of the local area that do not know John Fredericks or Jordan, if you are a pet lover, you will really enjoy this book. Trust me - it will really hit home in a lot of ways.

A wonderful, honest story. I found it hard to put down, and my "housework" was pushed to the back burner, until I finished the book. Thank you John for sharing your life and Jordon's on the air and off.

Never would you ever expect "someone else's" dog to touch your heart like Jordan did mine. I remember the night Jordan passed on and left an entire city in mourning...we were heart broken. When you read the book you will have a glimmer into the amazing life that John and Jordan shared with all of the people they encountered. I cried when I opened the book for the first time to start reading their amazing journey and you will cry when you close the book too. It is just a wonderful read and I can only say thank you to John for sharing Jordan with us for the amount of time we were granted. Now that we have the written story we can continue sharing Jordan for many many years.

After reading this heart warming love story I had to buy three copies to give as birthday and Christmas gifts for the pet lovers in my famly. I was so touched,by the joy and was so able to connect with the the loss that the author experienced with the crossing of "his boy". Jordan's memory is eternal.
I'm so happy John has LJ.

If you like dogs this is a good read. Because I have met this dog several times I probably enjoyed it even more.
