These rock, much better than the Irwin's, and just as expensive, BUT more versatile!

Amazon's packaging of clamps have *much* to be desired, as I received 4 clamps in a box, with crimpled up paper, that was the packaging, 3 were OK and the 4th was missing the bar stop pin(it was in box) so it vibrated loose during shipment.

Like many woodworkers, hobbyists, I believe you can never have too many clamps. As I do most projects alone, the clamps become my second set of hands. I had a cheap set of trigger clamps and liked them while they lasted, but I guess I pushed them too hard and both of them broke after a while, so I decided to buy a good set to add to my collection. These work well used singly. I haven't yet had the occasion to use a coupled pair, although I did link the 2 to try out the concept, and I'll have to say the interlock (picture curling your fingers and locking 2 hands together) could have been designed slightly better, as I had some trouble getting them back apart. The mechanism to unlock the station end and move it to the other end to make a "push" clamp is quite nice also (twist the black knob to the unlocked position).

I think this clamp is one of the best one-hand-clamp.
Like the Bessey , the Jorgensen clamps are a very good quality products.
I choose this model for the Expandable particularity,
even if used in this matter they need a better attention for the strength used.
I use this clamps with wood and they are excellent.
