I own a small cabinet makeing shop and have been useing Jorgensen clamps for years. I prefer the number 2 because its a middle of the road size for most wood working projects. My number one preference for the clamp is the way the wooden handles are attached to the threaded steel. I have never twisted a handle off yet when clamping. The versatility of the clamp also allows you to clamp irregular pieces together by not drawing the clamp together uniformaly. The hard maple does not mar your work surfaces either. Another plus to Jorgensen clamps has to be the ease of glue cleanup when a little to much runs onto the clamp. A great clamp that either a novice or experienced woodworker will come to depend upon when working on there favorite project

These clamps have been around for ever. Any good woodworking shop has a pile of them. Get them in pairs at a minimum and get a variety of sizes you won't be sorry. They last a lifetime and more.
Oh yeah the other dimension you need to know is the distance from the tip to the middle spindle on this clamp is 6 inches.

Look and work the same as they have for a long long time. Very happy with these and would buy them again.

These are fantastic clamps. I haven't seen another brand that even comes close and I've probably got hand screws made by four or five other companies. There just isn't any comparison to these.

The craftsmanship is excellent. Still made the American way when the U.S. of A. was king for manufacturing and production quality. The handles are perfectly sized (for my hands) and easy to tighten without any wonky sharp edges or ridges. The metal threaded rods work smoothly and are very robust. I've bent a few of the offshore brand hand screw rods...not these.

Just love them. If I win the lottery I'll throw away all the others brands of hand screw and replace them with these.

We have 26 of these clamps in various sizes. My husband has been making mission furniture for over 30 years and has owned his own furniture business. He swears by these and would not even consider another clamp manufacture of this type. There is other clamps on the market that look like Jorgensen but they just dont compare in quality. Don't get me wrong ... you still need dozens of other clamps (bar,C,corner, etc.) but for daily use and good control this is a great clamp. [...]

Jorgensen clamps have been around for a very long while because they're invaluable. I've recently finished remodeling the kitchen and found these clamps extremely useful for putting together, holding, and installing the cabinetry.

Although there are uses that would call for one, but, for my purposes I've found two to be an absolute necessity, three even better, and they work beautifully together; so easy to tighten, loosen and adjust to almost any angle. I couldn't have done it without them.

Good clamp, good price. I'm sure to have these for the rest of my life. There were a few burrs that I had to file on the metal part, but other than that, no problems.

This clamp works really fast. Though it looks rather old-fashioned by comparison with modern steel clamps it works well. Thanks and
