Paul Murphy is Associate Professor at the State University of New York, College at Fredonia. Trained both in music theory and performance, he has been active as a piano soloist and accompanist, as well as a musical director, conductor, and arranger. Preparation of present volume was assisted by a grant from the Society for Music Theory.
