This is a story of how a young American began his meager life on the east coast and transended the challenges of his time to become a great explorer. He worked closely with the native tribes of America and helped to explore the old NorthWest of now Wisconsin Minnesota and beyond. This is a great read for those who are interested in how the USA was prior to settlement.
