This is one of the coolest kitchen gadgets I've seen in a long time. It does exactly what it says: it holds open cookbooks, even big heavy ones, then folds right up into a sleek "book" about the size of an iPad (but thicker), which fits right on your shelf and really does look like a book. If you didn't know it was there, you would just assume it was a book with no title on the spine! Mine's green so it fits right in with all my colorful cookbooks. When it's folded up in "book" mode, the "spine" is about an inch wide so it actually takes up less space than most of my cookbooks! Much easier to store than those big, heavy (albeit pretty!) metal cookbook stands. Highly recommend! :o)

This cookbook holder's shelf snapped the first time I put the apparatus to use. The design was good but if your book weight is anything from "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" and up, look elsewhere for a suitable product.

Just received this folding cookbook stand and I must say I LOVE it already! It holds my cookbooks perfectly and I also use it to hold my iPad. My iPad dock holds the iPad at an awkward angle so I cannot see the words without bending down, but this stand is at the perfect angle for both the iPad and my cookbooks. It's perfect and I don't have to worry about finding a place to store it - it sits right on the bookshelf with my cookbooks! Love the color, too. It's fun and functional!
