Best available,
This review is from: Joseph in Egypt Interactive DVD (DVD)
The products from Nest Family entertainment are the best I have found. The stories are mostly accurate and the animation is very good. I have looked everywhere for accurate Bible stories for children and all but these take "artistic license" and significantly modify what is explicitly stated. I have no problem with adding context, but there simply isn't any justification for modifying what is written. Furthermore, some products use rock and roll music, which I detest, but the music is the Nest products is wholesome.

This review is from: Joseph in Egypt Interactive DVD (DVD)
This DVD would be best used with viewers who are already familiar with this Bible story, or as an introduction to further study, because the DVD leaves out background information and detail. Even though this is a cartoon, it is not for younger children for two reasons. First, the story is fairly complex, second there is the owner's wife's sexual harrassment that lands Joseph in jail. The DVD opens with Pharoh's dream. A servant tells Pharoh that Joseph can interpret dreams. We then learn about Joseph and his brothers through a flashback. The DVD does not go into the brothers being Leah children, while Joseph is the favored son because Rachel is his mother. Also, the DVD ends as Joseph is put in charge of preparing for the upcoming seven lean years. We don't see the years of plenty, or the years of famine. We don't see the brothers coming to Egypt and finding Joseph. It would have been better if the DVD had been longer and the story more complete, but this DVD still has its uses.
