This is a brilliant recording of Haydn's keyboard sonatas. Byron Schenkman has chosen sonatas for which the harpsichord is beautifully suited and the result is a mangificently expressive performance. The music presented combines Haydn's compositional genius with Schenkman's genius for bringing out the idiomatic strengths of the harpsichord. If you love both Haydn's music and the sound of the harpsichord, then you will treasure this recording.
