5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, usable ice trays
I have tried them all: plastic, metal, mod, traditional.
To date, no one has made an ice tray from which my husband and I could consistently and easily extract a whole, unblemished ice cube without its hitting an object other than the glass first.
Kudos to this company for having finally gotten it right.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good idea, poor execution
I have never written a review here before, but this product demands one. The idea is a good one. However, it is a sad excuse for an ice tray. We will be going back to the rubbermaid ones. Cheaper and a much better performance!

5.0 out of 5 stars easiest ice cube tray, detaches cubes with one finger, June 4, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
On the bottom of the tray their is a small flexible switch for each cube, just flip the switch and the cube effortless comes out. The tray itself is strongly and solidly made. Best tray made and its worth every penny, no more frustrations.

My first Amazon review. Finally! A great ice tray that I don't have to fight with! I just twist and then use the little button and a perfect cube pops right out. So easy it gets refilled when only a few cubes are missing. I am buying these for friends they are so great. Especially good if you are arthritic or have any hand weakness. Just great.

4.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, Highly Functional, but not perfect, December 22, 2010

This is a great ice cube tray! It mostly does what it is supposed to, which is to dispense the ice cubes one at a time by snapping the little rubber thingy underneath each cube. It is actually quite handy especially if you only use a little bit of ice at a time. The drawbacks: sometimes some of the cubes stick, it doesn't have a cover to keep odors and frost out, you will need a separate container to keep ice in if you make a lot, and they don't stack as neatly as my other Orka tray.

It seems every ice tray out there has it's pros and cons, and you need to decide what works best for your needs.

As far as pure functionality goes, this Joseph Joeseph tray is my Top pick right along with my old antique metal tray with the pull bar which has always been genius (you can get a stainless steel replica of that one here on Amazon for around $30: Stainless Steel Ice Cube Tray - BPA Free). As far as space-saving capabilities, I chose the Orka: Orka Ice Cube Tray, Blue Even though I need to run a little hot water over that one to get the ice to pop out, I can neatly stack them about five high in my freezer, without a separate container to keep the ice in.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very happy with these!, December 19, 2011
I actually bought these at a store, not on amazon, and I liked them so much I came online to review them. An ice cube tray is definitely not something I ever thought I would be raving about, but when I turned the tray upside down, clicked the tab, and heard that satisfying plop of the cube going into the glass it was just so much better than I had hoped for lol. No ice going all over the counter and the floor, no prying them out one by one with your fingernail (which I hate doing because it's not exactly sanitary, and most of the time when I use ice it's for a guest), and no cracking and breaking the tray from all the twisting and contorting, trying to get that last cube out. The last cube comes out as cleanly and easily as the first. I am never going back. I might buy some for my mom and sister for Christmas. Oh, you really do have to make sure you don't go past the fill line or you will have ice all over the counter when you flip it upside down.

This tray works well -- only a couple of times has an ice cube not come out cleanly. Would buy again.

5.0 out of 5 stars The end of a small aggravation..., March 8, 2011

This wonderful tray solves all my ice problems. We bought a foreclosed home and are about two years away from a kitchen redesign and getting a fridge with an ice maker. Previous to purchasing these, getting ice multiple times a day was a constant annoyance. To save money I buy beverages in bulk and don't have enough refrigerated storage, so I am often drinking room temp beverages that require ice. Paired with Rubbermaid White Ice Cube Bin I have reduced a daily aggravation to a twice a week pleasure that requires no thought at all.

Interestingly enough, a friend I had over tried to push down on the rubber tabs (pushing the ice out of the rubber), instead of pushing them towards the main ice trays. I never thought to do this but if you do it will take forever and totally defeats the purpose of the tray. I bet the negative reviewers are / were doing this and never figured it out. Don't forget the single twist before taking them out.

As for the comments about the price, I would like to know what premium the naysayers would demand to cover the cost of their ingenuity in revolutionizing such a old and mundane product. I'm am sure it's pretty cheap to produce once you figure out HOW to do it. Nuff said.

No doubt the best ice cube trays ever. I actually prefer these to having a big automatic ice maker- and if you knew me, living without any modern convenience is not my forte. I bought mine at Macy's for $7.99 each in blue.
