Nice sugar free alternative- if you are not sensitive to its possible side effects,

We were excited to try this product as we restrict our sugar intake...
We made some brownies, which were incredible, but what followed was incredible in a different way... Both my husband and I had unbelievable gas for the rest of the night- it did give us some laughs, but when you try to go to bed and you just cant stop farting- its sugar free value is outweighed by the torment that ensues after consumption... Definitely do not eat hours before you go to work- if you work around others...unless you don't mind ripping all day long in front of your fellow employees or customers :)

Who Needs Belly-Fattening Sugar?!,

The phrase 'too good to be true' is put to the test on this product. A 1/4 cup of this clear syrup is only 35 calories! There is absolutely no after taste that clues you in that this is anything but real sugar. Trust me, I tried it on my very critical, non-dieting family and friends and all of them thought it was 'plain sugar syrup'. I have used this in drinks, and in my oatmeal. Honestly, nothing gives you a hint that it is not 'real' sugar.

This product is exactly what healthy chefs need. It is almost perfect as a stand-n in for corn syrup. I have made some very good pecan pies with it. And the best part- ONLY 35 calories per 1/4 cup!!!

This is a wonderful sweetener. Great for cooking, making ice cream, etc. Smooth, and good flavor. However, it is best purchased from the producer "Joseph's Lite Cookies" because they do not charge shipping on the product. When purchased through Amazon, they go through CarbSmart and shipping is charged.

Perfect for the Belly Fat Cure eating plan!,

Jorge Cruise recommends this product for a substitute in his Brownie recipe for people on the Belly Fat Cure program ([...]). I searched EVERYWHERE in the Chicagoland area and noone knew what I was talking about.
I finally found it on Amazon and a few other websites. I figured I would only order 2 bottles until I found out whether or not it lived up to my expectations. After one recipe of Brownies, I had to immediately reorder, this time by the case! It really is delicious stuff, although, as with all sugar replacements, you need to eat this in small amounts as the body doesn't always adjust immediately to these types of replacements. I highly recommend this product.

The product is great and I got it as an impulse item when purchasing a book.
It was delivered separately and the shipping charge was $10 on a 3.99 item. I can get this at a local store but ordered it as a convenience. I learned my lesson! Don't remember being told it would be that much to ship, would have been nice to know beforehand.

Can't tell it's not sugar syrup,

I first bought Joseph's Maltitol to use for Jorge Cruise's vanilla ice cream last year and have found many uses besides--sweetening drinks, making delicious, decadent brownies and of course, the ice cream. I've made dozens of batches of ice cream, all with fantastic results. In fact, we prefer the maltitol-sweetened ice cream to all others including commercial premium brands.
Jorge recommends limiting your consumption of alcohol sweeteners to 100 gms to avoid flatulence. I have not found this to be a problem with the ice cream whereas it has occurred with xylitol sweetened iced tea. Give it a try. Jorge's ice cream recipe is available online and only takes five minutes to make.

The taste to this sweetner is very good, with no after taste. I recently started using this sweetner. I have used it to sweeten beverages and cereal. It did the job well. The only draw back is that it gives me stomach cramps. For that reason I will not buy it again and will keep looking for a replacement for sugar.

I use this product in making brownies from "The Belly Fat Cure"! I have also used it as a honey substitute in other recipes combining Stevia and honey. It is very sweet just like sugar, and is easy to use in baking. My kids love it as well. There is no aspartame taste or nasty after taste.
