Book Description

October 2, 2008
Learn how Joseph managed to go from working for NASA to the simple restricted life of an Amish farmer. Of his being pushed out away from his family for not conforming. This book exposes the Amish as a cult and reveals their uncharming way of life. It's the story of a battle to free children from the Amish dictators. It's about a man facing his greatest challenge: reuniting and bonding with children who have been told and believe the worst.Joseph wasn't born Amish, neither was any of his family, but they were adopted into it by choice. They were both married before - - but that was overlooked to allow them into the community with their 12 children. He has had four wives and 21 children. He has been a jet pilot, worked out problems for NASA during the pre-space era, did computer programming for large companies, radio repairman, farmer, and construction contractor, putting equal importance on each career. A full and fasinating life with many twists and turns.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Interesting Read, March 14, 2006
By
This review is from: Joseph's Road (Paperback)
This guy has done such a wide variety of things - you

feel he is very open and honest about his life. It's

amazing how often his 'road' took sharp turns that

changed his whole world and how he handled them. I was

very interested in his outlook on the Amish community

- so many people think it would be so wonderful to go

back to the 'good ole days' but this shows how far

we've advanced in protecting ourselves, rights, and

children.

C Lapierre did well in finding an interesting story

and making it shareable. I hope this author finds more

interesting characters to share with the world.
