This review is from: The Journal of Decorative and Propaganda Arts 22: Cuba Theme Issue (Paperback)
Much has been written about Cuba and Havana before the Revolution---so much of it through very limited prisms. This collection of essays on Havana urban and social history, recalls the early to mid 2oth century city in all its glory. The article about the American homes in the sugar mills, very accurate, according to people who knew them---both Americans who lived there, and Cubans who lived around them.
