This Bible is just about what I was looking for in a journaling-type style. It's compact, but not so much that you can fit it into a pocket. I can fit it into my large purse.

The pages are kind of a vintage color, which makes it feel a little more worn and not so new. I really like the bright cover, also.

Aside from it's outward appearance, I have found it to be practical, and purposeful. I like to journal alongside of the verses.

There are a few extras as well. A one-year BIble reading plan, a summary of each book of the Bible, and a very well thoughtout explanation of salvation and redemption are some or the suprises that I do like.

I do wish the font was a little larger and that there was more room to journal. Maybe more space between the lines for those of us who don't have small handwriting would be better. Having over "40" eyes is not a plus here !

Overall, very satisfied. I feel that I got what I wanted.

I bought the ESV Journaling Bible because a) I did not have this translation and b) I like to write a fair amount in my Bibles and I thought this would be giving me a lot of space in which to do so. I like the translation just fine; it is very concise, e.g., "Get wisdom." The journaling space is on the far ends of each page, with fairly narrow lines in which to write. The print size of the text is also smallish. It is a PRETTY thing and that also contributed to my decision to buy this Bible. If you are hoping for lots of writing space, look elsewhere. If you want average note space and a clear English translation of Scripture in a compact form, this is for you.

I've just gotten into the ESV version and have always wanted a Bible with room for notes. This is a great edition with a lot of helpful items, like book intro's, a one-year reading plan and a "What does the Bible say about..." topical index. Very well laid out and easy to navigate. The cover is also very attractive, although the color is softer than the picture appears.

On the slight downside, the journaling area is narrow. It provides room for notes on the sides, which is nice, but not enough room for extensive notes or for the kind of journaling I like to do. Still need a second book for that. The print is a little on the small side for a study bible, but not as small as a pocket bible, and I don't find it that bothersome.

I love the concept! The design of the cover is great, the wide margin lined note areas are wonderful. However, the size of the Bible is too small for me as well as the text. In order to truly study I don't want to strain my eyes. Beware just realize that it'small. I wish they had made this a standard Bible size ... I would have no qualms if that were the case. My search for a good journaling Bible continues!

I was looking for a Bible that has room to write notes in, but isn't gigantic or really heavy - this one was it! It's a great size and has lots of room for notes. The font is a little small, but I'm glad for the trade off in size. The only down side is that it doesn't also come with a concordance or cross references, but those are easy enough to make up for (you can find it easily on the web). It also has a beautiful cover. Not sure how durable it is yet, but so far so good (a few weeks and lots of transport).

Combines the great size and layout of the previous editions with a very attractive cover and noticably larger and more readable print.

The cover is very pretty. The volume itself is quite a bit smaller than I thought it would be. I like the buff color of the pages. Because of the size of the pages, one's writing must be miniscule to fit unless you use two lines. Also, the font is quite small. I like it, but I don't imagine I'll be using it as a morning companion as I'd imagined. It is not exactly user friendly to me.

While at Seminary, a favorite professor described the "perfect" Bible. One of his top requirements was the ability to journal inside next to those AHA moments.
Additionally the great size, beautiful design options, and easily read text ( English Standard Version) make this Bible clearly my favorite! Thanks to Crossway Bible for making this available.

Very Nice quality bible, durable. I purchased it for my fiance and she loves the note-taking space. Although it has the extra room for notes, it doesn't feel like a big bible when carrying it. The only thing my future wife didn't like about it was that Jesus' words aren't in red. Other than that it's a great book! And it's a bible so of course it is : )

I love this Bible. It is so georgous and perfect with the journaling lines on each page. It is great quality and will last me for years and years. I couldn't be happier with this Bible!
