This book brings the mystical to the breakfast table.,

This review is from: A Journey of Awakening: 49 Steps from Enslavement to Freedom: A Guide for Using the Kabbalistic Tree of Life in Jewish Meditation (Paperback)
I am not a rabbi or a meditator or a new-age dilettante and I like this book. For centuries the wisdom and utility of kabbalah has been hidden and only carefully and sparingly revealed to the serious seeker. In this book Rabbi Falcon very carefully and clearly instructs us in exactly how to bring the usefulness of the mystical into our daily lives during the crucial 49-day period between the holidays of Passover and Shavuot. This is an instruction book; the fact that its aim is limited, focussed and utilitarian attests to its seriousness and practicality. Although it requires little or no background it is, nevertheless, not your Little Golden Book of Kabbalah. This book is for grownups.

A splendid invitation to grow through Jewish mysticism.,

Rabbi Ted Falcon's "A Journey of Awakening" provides new and on going explorers of Jewish mystical tradition a beautiful opportunity to integrate sacred teachings into their personal lives. This is done without neglect of the intellectual components that comprise the tradition and in a way which fully allows for an individual flowering of the spirit. "A Journey of Awakening" is a rare contribution to the new and expanding consciousness which Jews have been seeking. It is simply a gift.
