About the Author

For over 30 years, Rabbi Ted Falcon has explored the frontiers of Jewish spirituality and meditation, and has founded meditative synagogues in Los Angeles and Seattle. Rabbi Falcon's work bridges the psychological and the spiritual, encouraging deeper integration for greater freedom of personal action and understanding. He has taught Jewish traditions of meditation and spirituality in the United States, Israel, and Poland. With his colleagues, Pastor Don Mackenzie and Sheikh Jamal Rahman, he is completing GETTING TO THE HEART OF INTERFAITH: THE EYE-OPENING HOPE-FILLED FRIENDSHIP OF A PASTOR, A RABBI AND A SHEIKH, which will be published in June of 2009 and is currently available for pre-order on Amazon.com.

Rabbi Ted Falcon's profound meditations introduced me to the practice of counting of the omer about 18 years ago, before they were published as a book. This is a healing and transforming practice built into the spiritual cycle of the Jewish year that deeply nourishes me. I still use this book to guide me through this profoundly transforming practice, and I share the meditations during evening services and events at my synagogue. I highly recommend to others.
