Product Description

Bipolar Disorder is far more than sudden mood changes. It can have an effect of virtually every part of your life. Symptoms range from forgetfulness, hypersexuality and extremely poor decision making and that can have an enormous impact on every facet of your life.

In this book you will experience what Darrin felt throughout his life, from being misunderstood to having unbearable experiences in school and work making life nearly impossible. Often feeling cut off and very alone, he went through life feeling deeply depressed and a failure.

Being a gay man didn't help as he felt even more separated from what was “normal.” Then in his late 30's, he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and his life changed. The drugs and what he thought was a sex addiction were a direct influence of being bipolar ...it was all connected.

This inspirational story is an extension of a blog he created in order to help himself heal and with hope, help others.

I took a chance on this one and was surprised at the open nature of the author. He seems to lay it all out but without going into too much detail which can be boring sometimes. There seems to be just enough....it's a shorter book but if bipolar disorder or drugs touches anyone you know this is very interesting read. I won't spoil how it turns out but I'll just say "inspirational"and leave it at that. It makes you think about judging someone before you know their story which we should all be more aware of.

In the book he also gives you his website that he has been working on for a while which is also interesting....so you're getting more than the book, you will also discover the website. I found the website to be a nice companion to the book, pretty eye-opening stuff in my humble opinion.

I was a little misled by the title... I was expecting more about bipolar disorder. The majority of the book is about the author's drug addictions and sex addiction, and relationship troubles.

It seemed like it was very cathartic for the author to write and I admire him for facing his demons and putting them on paper. I have a son who is bipolar, though, and I was expecting more of the book's focus to be about struggles with this disorder.

The website looks interesting and well done.

Definitely an awesome book to warn people off about crystal meth addiction and what it can do to you.
