A beautiful and intimate portrayal of the life of Jesus,

The Gospel of John is to my mind to most lyrical and intimate of the stories of the life of Jesus in the New Testament. While the synoptic Gospels are equally powerful, the structure and presentation of John's Gospel is distinct in its view of the life of Christ and of the tenderness of God.
