I first heard Gypsy Soul at an art fair two years ago. I have been picking up their independent CD's since then and listening to them live at every opportunity.

With this album, Cilette and Roman have taken a big step in the quality and beauty of their music! I've loved Cilette's voice for some time, but on this album, she turns it up a notch in several ways. She has a relaxed feeling on "Letting You Go" that works wonderfully with the words they've written. The production quality is as clear and crisp as any album. And it highlights the delicate interweaving of Roman's guitar and Cilette's voice that is the hallmark of their collaborative spirit.

Some of Gypsy Soul's songs have become words to live by for me. "Who" was the first to capture my heart two years ago. In the evening, it becomes a checklist against which to evaluate the past day. "One More Day" is a beautiful expression of how we should approach each new day and appreciate the lessons of our past.

Songs like these, along with "Take Me Away", make me wish I had the guts to live life in a better way: chasing my dreams, doing things I enjoy, and loving without fear. It seems that Cilette and Roman have found that freedom and it shows in the way they've defined own style and developed their own compositions.

What I can't believe is why this band is not on the top of the charts right now. When I first heard a note fly out of Cilette, the hairs on my arm stood straight up. She has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. I fell in love with the second song One More Day, it had an infectious groove that I still can't get out of my head. I found the music to be truly amazing. Not your run of the mill standard textures, rather it was filled with loads of emotion, energy and technical genious. Roman handles all the writing and production work and I must say Job well done. I have since gone out and bought Three of there earlier CD's and am loving every title. This band is going to be on the top of the charts soon, the only question is how long will it take for the big guns to find this diamond in the rough.

Thank you Cilette and Roman for bringing such beautiful music to my ears, My wife and I are hypnotized by your music, it strikes a chord in our lives that makes us look at each other and simply smile with love.

Gypsy Soul has some of the best music I've ever heard when it comes to Celtic, Folk, Love songs, etc. Everybody should give them a listen, not only because of the great vocals but also because of the mood they set and put you in while listening to them! Give them a try!

Ok I am here! I have arrived at my destination! I have heard one of the best cd's that I have ever heard! Gypsy Soul is just the best. As I sat listening to this beautiful cd I felt peace, love, joy, sadness, longing and some of the best music that is available today! Cilette's voice is THE BEST female voice in the music industry today. I mean it.....after you listen to her sing, tell me who can you think of that is better? Roman is a MASTER on the guitar & bass! I think this is a must purchase for anyone who is into music!

At the risk of sounding pretentious, this is musical food that feeds you deeper than a drive through fast food craving. If you're expecting quickly disposable music, this isn't it. This is stuff you nibble, savor and return to repeatedly.

The artfully written lyrics create vibrant images and feelings. Many of the songs are introspective thoughts that have the potential to drive you to suicidal melancholiness but somehow fused with steel and determination that will make you determined to forge through the challenges.

Cilette Swann's vocal talent is amazing. A powerful instrument that pushes the song to the front instead of overwhelming it. Not showing off range just for the sake of letting everyone know she has range.

The instrumentals by Roman Morykit add layers of complexity and feeling to every song. The music mirrors and enhances the lyrics exquisitely

Highly reccomended for anyone who desires to listen to music that can't be easily pigeonholed. It's lush folk guitary instrumentals with bite combined with a heavenly voice. Strong heady stuff that creates a world you want to stay in and savor.

All of Gypsy Soul's music is always top notch. I own every one of their CD's. Their latest CD "The Journey" is no exception and is very moving. Definately a MUST BUY for any music lover.

If you have not yet experienced the vocals of Cilette and the musical genious of Roman - you no longer have an excuse. Ten years ago I had to share an office with a girl from the west coast. She had to have music in our little space and asked if it was okay. I kept hearing her music shuffle to this haunting voice and I would have to stop my work to listen. Finally I had to ask her who this band was, where could I find their music, and why didn't I hear them on radio play. She explained the band is from the west coast and I promplty went home and searched for their music. I own their entire collection and always anxious for new material. You cannot get tired of this music! Treat your ears to some of the richest vocals and musical arrangement, you won't be disappointed.

There are bands whose music speaks to the head banging animal, clawing its way up from the darkness, within us all. Then there are musicians whose music speaks to our emotions, eliciting tears of joy and sadness. And then, there are artists whose music passes through the sublime and speaks directly to our souls. These are such artists. Once you experience their gifts of the soul, you will be forever changed, and better for the journey.
