The Journey Home is a novel set in the countryside of Virginia. The story embraces the nurtured friendship between a young boy, named Billy, who spent time working on a farm for a wise old man named Elias. There were many things Billy never fully understood during those years, but upon his return to the farm as an adult, the understanding and commitments finally became apparent. Billy, his wife Mae, and their young daughter, Natalie, plan on making the old farm their new home. Elias had told Billy to listen to the feeling of his heart and the quiet of his mind. With this he would hear things he once thought were impossible.

I lovd The Journey Home. I could not put this book down. The vivid descritions of the characters and the scenes made me feel like I was there. I could see and feel everything the author was writing about. It's a wonderful lesson is respect for nature and listening to your heart.

I really liked this book.It really takes you on a journey.I love the characters, they all have so much meaning.It goes right to your heart in a good way.It takes you out into nature.It leaves you wanting to be there.It's interesting,it's really good.I can't wait to read it with my grandson.
