Her writing has versatility to tell a good story to entertain while sharing other things with the reader. In some of the stories she hopes the tales will also inspire thought concerning many issues that may be problems at one time or another in life.

Her books themselves are her way of making her dreams come true and an example to others to never give up with their own dreams.

She started a writer's group and continues working to help others find ways to make their dreams come true. People helping other people, does more than answer a question asked or teach something here or there. Seeing the wonderful people involved inspires Linda to do and be more as she tried to help those around her too. She plans to use this group to form a mentoring program offering assistance to any who show an interest and hope it grows from one to another in not only the help but in the idea.

Linda has the novels, short stories, poetry, children's book, a non fiction book and has only just begun. She believes life is an adventure and to be truly alive, we have to live it to the best of our ability. She hopes your best and brightest dreams come true and you find joy and peace in life and the love of those around you.

I've given "Journey Home" 4 stars, but only because it's not meticulous from a strictly editorial standpoint. Otherwise I give Linda Nance 5 stars for superb storytelling. This one's a page-turner wherein Ms. Nance delivers homey scenarios that could be right out of "Southern Living" alongside murder scenes that will give you the chills. The main character Lara is a successful author who inherits a home in Arkansas from her uncle who has died suddenly. As Lara returns "home," Nance transports you to the rural South with both dialect and descriptions so vivid you'll find yourself sitting with Lara's nosey neighbor on the old front porch sipping iced tea and enjoying fresh-baked cinnamon rolls. Friends gather around the picnic table eating hamburgers off the grill while in the background of this picture of Southern hospitality, a suspicious shadow lurks in the nearby woods. Is it a shadow from Lara's past? Or her dead uncle's? You won't know until the very end, because as I learned fairly early in this book, Ms. Nance is full of surprises. There were one or two chapters where the pace became a little too slow for my taste, though that could have been because I became impatient to see what would happen next. I recommend "Journey Home "to any reader who enjoys the kind of twists and turns that make a great mystery novel.

Even from the grave, love comes to make sure the Journey Home is safe and fulfilling--excellent suspense keeps pages turning `til the end! Lara's Uncle Charley had just died. And she was still surprised at what she had learned from her uncle's attorney. Lara had already been upset by the way a police officer had acted offensively toward her as she had driven to her uncle's home, especially after having been greeted so warmly in town when she'd arrived.

Now she was learning that Allen Coleman was not only in the will, but her Uncle had placed stipulations on both of them!

It was strange to be in her aunt and uncle's home without their being there. Especially when she began to feel like she was being watched. Of course, she had been, with Fred having come to visit and breaking a potted plant. Though she was forgiving of the dog, she wasn't quite so sure when his owner, Mr. Coleman himself, also appeared. From that first meeting she had been both attracted and angered by how close Allen had gotten to her uncle. Was it guilt because she had not visited very often?

She had begun to wonder what had been happening. There had been many locks added to the home place. Allen explained that her uncle felt like somebody was prowling around in the house and through his things. Then she learned that a young man had been living there for awhile, helping her uncle, but had just seemed to disappear.

But nothing prepared her for the first visit from another neighbor, Paul Winters, who immediately had moved to come into the house "to visit" and get to know each other. Fortunately, Allen had come right at that time. But it was not the last time she would see Paul.

I am not a heavy book reader but when I started reading I could not put this book down for two seconds! I loved how it had me on the edge of my seat the whole time! Not gonna lie I had to stop reading it a few nights when I was alone but that made the book even better because it was "real". I'd recommend this book time and time again! Even for non-readers like me this is a great book!!

One of the fascinating side-benefits of reading lots of books is that you start to develop a sense for the authors in the background. Now, it's true that some authors are better at donning fictional narrators through which they tell their stories, but inevitably fingerprints of the actual teller almost always remain. Because of that, I can tell you with utter certainty that Linda Nance is an author with a strong sense of loyalty and friendship. Many of the characters stacked within the pages of "The Journey Home" are the kinds of people you would want at your dinner table and at your back if trouble arose. It truly does take one to know one.

Lara Stanley is a successful author living a big city life, but when news comes that her Uncle Charley has died, her life takes a decidedly rural and dangerous turn. She learns from her uncle's attorney that she has a substantial inheritance, but to collect it she must relocate to the heart of Arkansas, where she grew up. Worse yet, the will stipulates that she must remain there in her uncle's home for at least nine months. What was her uncle thinking?

It's a good bet that good ol' Charley hadn't intended to imprison his niece in web of danger so inexplicable that it might actually be supernatural in nature, but that's what he did...and the mystery, romance and suspense grow from there.

If you would like to meet new friends willing to help you solve a mystery while also protecting you from danger, then this book is for you. The haunting narrative and ongoing out-of-reach danger will keep you turning pages long after you should be asleep. And the horrific ending is enough to burn the nerves right off your shoulder blades.

Definitely recommended.
