Book Description

June 4, 2004
According to tradition, humanity has originated far beyond the stars and must make the return journey back to the Source. In order to accelerate and fully embrace the multiple levels of the journey, each traveler must be spiritually awakened. This awakening, or jolt to the every day consciousness, must be directed and be strong enough to set the soul free. Once that happens, the spiritual traveler perceives the Source and can journey through life purposefully. Journey of Light: Trilogy (JOLT) chronicles the spiritual awakening of three men from different backgrounds. Through their own unique experience, each comes to know and is empowered by a mysterious force known as the Light. Slowly, they learn that this spiritual essence dissipates darkness and is the binding force of the universe. From it, they draw strength to move forward in their daily lives no matter how hectic they become. While some find comfort in asserting their belief is the only true way, most do not fully understand that religion is intended to vary according to time, place and the changing needs of people. The Light is the common spring from which we came and is the internal reality of all religious experience. This work offers reason for even the most skeptical of readers to believe in the reality of higher consciousness. A collection of novellas, JOLT will help you in your own search and inner journey. Dr. Bitkoff, as a young man, received training in two modern mystical schools and was designated to reveal selected aspects of the teaching in written form.

5.0 out of 5 stars Journey of Light; Trilogy March 3, 2013
I have been reading Dr. Bitkoff's material. The stories are enchanting and mystical, yet very real. This particular work was one of his first pieces. It is interesting to see how his writing has matured, yet in it's own right JOLT hasn't jolted me but rather nudged me into awareness of my true nature. Each story is unrelated in form to the other, yet connected in message. I have found Dr. Bitkoff's writing encouraging, enlightening and insightful. Thank you for your gift of guidance, Dr. Bitkoff.Journey of Light: Trilogy

5.0 out of 5 stars Life and its opportunities June 4, 2012

Journey Of Light Trilogy by Dr. Stewart Bitkoff is a book filled with life, in the broader sense of the word. It describes the lives of three characters, each at a different stage, both in their lives and regarding their spiritual outlook. The author tries to make us ( the readers ) understand we are here for a purpose - to live life fully, to love, create and cherish our days under the sun, and under the rain, too. When reading the book I understood that what matters most is what I give of myself, not what I take, earn or receive. One act of kindness can turn your world arround. This book serves as a wake up call for that part of us that is most fundemental - the core of our being - our heart and soul. Do not miss the opportunity to really live, instead of just existing - this book made me understand that, and maybe you will benefit, too.
May you find what you are looking for.

I read JOLT last night. The part about the light and Ammoun was ver interesting to me as it has happened to me twice so far. The first time I was in my early twenties and had been praying for a friend who was ill. I had a dream I met God, it was white light and fog and the feeling of love was so intense it was like laying in the bottom of a swimming pool. I could feel the emotion pushing on my skin with pressure. It was so intense. The second time was about two years ago, I had a friend who had been ill and was living in Seattle. I could feel his dispair and I pulled him to me and put my arms around him. When I did and I was awake this time, a white fog bank rolled into the room, it got brighter until I could again feel love on my skin and this feeling of peace and happiness, it lasted for quite some time and was felt by two other friends. Both called me the next day and asked what was happening as they felt what they called a shift in the cosmos. My friend did better for about 6 months when he suddenly went into a coma. I could hear him telling me to get him out of it. He was in Alaska and I was in Iowa but I pulled and and shouted and he woke up. His family was surprised as he was in a medically induced coma. I kept pumping him with blue light for over a week, and he rallied, but I had a gut feeling he was still going to die. He had a chance to talk to his son's and father and settle some affairs, then had a massive brain stem hemorrage and died. He kept coming to me even then, but as time has gone by he has changed into more of a body of light and is less attached to this side. Some of the things Dr Bitkoff spoke about in his book has happened to me and it is comforting to know I am not the only one. I have friends on the same road as myself but The Journey to the Light experiences match my own so much more closely and comfort me.

The book about Teddy also hit home. I had a boyfriend who died in 2010 from renal failure. The last 5 years of his life was nothing but ICU units, hospital stays, finally a nursing home and hospice. I found myself as a advocate, gopher and only support person he had. His family did not want to be bothered. I was like Teddy, shuffling between hospitals, nursing homes and trying to work and commute at the same time. It is hard to keep your perspective and joy during years of constant stress and chaos. And like Teddy I finally realized I was punishing myself by never doing anything I needed or wanted. I finally came to the understanding of taking care of yourself, just as he did.

This book is one of the top five that have impacted my life, I highly recommend it. While I already knew the lessons in this book, it was validating for me to read it.
