The Journey of a Lifetime,
By mystic76 (Chicago, IL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Journey of the Lovers (Paperback)
Seyedeh Dr. Nahid Angha, one of the most influential Sufi Masters of our time, has made significant contributions to the world of Sufism through her humanitarian work and publications. This book takes us through the spiritual journey with the beauty of an artist and the logic of a scientist, blending the academic and spiritual genres to create a guide for the mystic within all of us. Once again, the English speaking world can rejoice that Dr. Angha has successfully conveyed the complexities of Sufi philosophy into a coherent, scientific, multi-layered description of the path towards esoteric revelations. Every time I pick this book up, I learn something new about myself and the Divine Reality. It comes with the highest recommendation.

The Path of the Sufi,
By A Customer
This review is from: Journey of the Lovers (Paperback)
This book is one I come back to again and again to help me on the Sufi path. It explains many aspects of "the straight way" of the Sufi, including the role of the teacher for the student on the path. A beautiful book, including some of her own translations of Sufi poetry, by the foremost Sufi holy woman in America.

Sufism is a complex spiritual path that asks the traveller to fulfil their potential as a human being. In this book, the author takes us through the journey of a true seeker, exploring the beautiful complexity and metaphysical wonders of the Sufi path. Moreover, the book is written with a strong academic foundation, appealing to the mystic and the scholar. A must have to truly understand Sufism.
