Book Description

May 25, 1979 Hamlyn science fiction
A new empire rises out of the enigmatic cosmic planet of Aerie, while in the shadows, Jason and Mish Kennerin's destroyed world leaves them with only their love and the uncertain future of this new planet. As Jason and Mish find their sphere of love in the midst of an evolution, Aerie promises to shelter them. But it does more than that, for in time, a dynasty starts to emerge from the chaos of their ruined past.

Editorial Reviews

Review

Many works of sf deal with approaches to new worlds. In some, the approach is confrontation or conquest; in others a political or sociological world-building takes place; in Journey we see not only the building of a society but the creation of a community, a haven, a home. This unusual tale is enriched by its science fictional trappings - a gentle alien race wins the friendship of suspicious humans; an exploding supernova signals the ending of one world and true commitment to a new one; a child grows to manhood and fulfills his dream of becoming a space adventurer; women not only bear children but fill important societal roles - but these well-drawn elements do not distract from what is essentially a family saga, a story not only of building a home but of homecoming. Highly recommended. - Library Journal --This text refers to the Kindle Edition edition.

This review is from: Journey (Paperback)
This is a reprint of a 1978 pocket book--It was good then and still is now-- It is kind of sci=fi soft like building a society and getting along and it is interesting.
