Each page contains an array with the expected intricate pop-up mechanism, often creating three dimensional objects which can be viewed from several angles. The new thing is that each page also contains a three dimensional object that swings in midair. It is really entertaining to see the various vehicles that are created in this way. The illustrations are fun, with one page containing alien creatures that emerge from openings all over the display, and another with a miniature flying saucer that spins. This book is a real winner! All of this is woven together with a story that would appeal to little children - and even to this grandma. Kudos to Luca and Meera Santora... (Will note that the sections that swing free do not always close cooperatively when you try to turn the page, so take care!)

As a collector of pop-up books, this is one of the best I've seen. So many different methods used and the art is fantastic.

Not for really young children as there are too many moving parts and tabs that might break after a little use. But very cool for us enthusiasts.

Cool book, just a bit complicated. Book has great pop up but some you have to manipulate to get the full effect. Also, parts fall out. In fact the first time I opened this book, a rocket fell out and we couldn't figure exactly how to attach it back in. Don't buy for children under 7 or more.
