I wish Benny had done more new material on this new CD. But I understand why he did it. Most of the album, I really like. I think I NEED A MIRACLE is number #1 material. And I also think his renditions of I WANT IT ALL, written by Mrs. Roy Orbison, and FOOL FOR FALLING IN LOVE, by Roy Orbison are the next to follow. I was very disappointed in I'M GONNA MAKE YOU LOVE ME, and yes, some of the songs do sound like they were recorded with minimal orchestra and studio time. But some of it just sings! I bought it because I believe in Benny, and I believe this work WILL ultimately prove itself out in the long run! Had he been backed by a MAJOR recording studio, no telling what this CD would have sounded like, rehashed music or no!

"I Want It All" is a truly amazing song, as is the accoustic version of "Into The Night" and "Tonight" (originally release in 1985 on an obscure label). If you loved Benny's records from the early 80s, buy this one, you will love it! This is the classic Benny that you all want to remember. Minimal synthesized music, no record company pushing him to record music Benny shouldn't. Don't listen to the few naysayers, this album is great, his best record since "Never Run Never Hide".

Not again! This is about the 5th time that Benny has attempted to re-record his old "hits" (again), with each new recording being worse than the previous. Listen, either get the rights to the original songs and put out the actual albums on cd, or put out a greatest hits cd with the original versions on it. This guy has been milking his popularity in several regional areas (I'm from central New York) for the last 20 years or so, and the guy looks like a sad version of Elvis in the mid-70's. He's a singer who had promise 20 years back, but screwed up his career with bad business deals and substance abuse. Now he is the stereotypical lounge singer, appearing for Christmas shows each year in the central New York area! Enough already! Either re-release the originals or give it up!!!!!! This album is awful !

We have everything Benny has every done, including videos. Benny is one of our favorite artists, and always will be. Benny should receive more recognition for his hard work; all of his beautiful words and music.

Take a listen to Brand New Angel, we played this at my best friend's funeral, printed out all of the words and passed them to everybody there. It touched everybody. Luckily, our friend heard this prior to her death at the age of 46, and said if anything ever happened to her to play this song. Thank you, Benny, for touching our souls.

Journey through time is a wonderful cd, Go Benny and keep up what you're doing. You have a lot of us fans out here that can't wait that long between albums. We love you!

Benny Mardones sure did make a CD full of hits this time. Not only is the Acoustic version of "Into The Night" out of this world....but all of his new songs are just unbelievable. Starting with "I Need A Miracle"....for anyone who has ever been on their knees begging for a miracle...to "I Want It All"....for anyone who ever wanted it all and "wanted it now." Benny's voice sounds awesome and the Hurricanes are the only band alive that can back such voice. This CD is nothing but talent from the writing to the vocals to the keyboards, drums, guitars, bass and back up vocal.

A Must get CD for any Benny fan!!!

As usual Benny's vocal range is truely worthy of the nickname the Voice! The sweet touching power ballad "I need a Miracle" is a powerful follow up to the twice hit "Into the Night". This cd follows with strong rockin tunes such as "Sheila C". This is an all American effort by an all American singer and songwriter. Smooth lyrics, powerful percussion, and clean transitional keyboards."A Journey Through Time" will spend time playing thru your stereo and echoing in your thoughts. Roy would be proud!
Buy a copy, give a copy, keep a sealed copy. This will be a collectors masterpiece. May this release be "Benny's Miracle"

Anyone who loves passion and soul and who respects a highly valuable and underrated talent should buy this and cherish it. A day will come when there is no longer a Benny Mardones and this album will be the one to remember him by. It is who he is.

Benny has been an icon in the Central New York area for over 20 years. Every visit he makes is usually a sell out. Into the Night was one of the first that I listened to and was hooked. His vocal range is "out of this world" and he puts as much passion and heart into his singing as any (even more) than some of the "top" stars of today. This album will bring many minutes of sitting back and listening to his soft and sometimes "Roy Orbison" high notes.

The lastest release by "The Voice" is just amazing! It is tough to pick one favorite on this CD, so I will just admit to loving them all. I especially love the acoustic version of "Into the Night". We have waited a long time for a new release from Benny and it was worth the wait. I have been listening to this CD everyday since it was released. It has a great mix of slow romantic songs and Benny shows he can still rock with a remake of "Baby Don't" and "Sheila C".

One of the best male vocals I've heard in some time that expresses the intensity of passion possible from a man in touch with his feelings, with his desires, and with his needs, told best by his song, "I want it all." It is the commitment of a male that most women want to hear without remorse, without embarrassment, but possibly also, without hope. It is an enormously powerful song of great emotional depth sprinkled with a little frustration in the knowledge of how life can be and humble enough to be without guilt in wanting it. Many of his songs are excellent, raw, passionate and realistic without being corny or pretentious. Exciting use of male emotions without remorse, brave and welcome. Tapping nerves is never easy but accomplished beautifully.
