Each chapter focuses on a particular rape-related topic, gives facts and information about rape and it's effect on the survivors, and guides you through a series of self-reflective exercises that involve thinking, feeling, and writing.
There also are exercises to guide you through your memories, thoughts, and feelings. These exercises are meant to help you put the emotional and mental remnants of the experience behind you.
This book is in two sections. Part 1 is for those of you who were raped a while back and who are dealing mostly with the mental and emotional repercussions of having been violated. Part 2 is specifically designed for those who were recently raped. This part provides information about matters that require prompt attention such as obtaining practical and emotional support from family and friends, securing medical care, and whether or not to report the rape to the police and prosecute the offender.
